Congratulations to our MBC Shooting Team!

The MBC team won the boys category for the NZSS Target Shooting New Zealand Postal Competition with a score of 278.19

In the Boys individual rankings Jackson Boon placed 3rd, Dylan Mathieson 6th, and Kevin Barnard 15th

They then went on to compete in the NZSS Inter Secondary School & Inter-Island match, where they were placed 5th out of 33 teams

Dylan Mathieson was then selected to represent the South Island in the Inter- Island Match

NZ individual rankings saw Dylan Mathieson come in 15th place, Jackson Boon 26th, and Kevin Burnard 35th out of 99 Competitors

Tournament results from Day 3 below. Good luck to our U15 Rugby team who have made the final after a strong win against Southland Boys yesterday, they take on our traditional rivals Nelson College. All the best lads! 🦅

Tomorrow evening, our very own Aidan Bennett begins his World Rowing U19 Championships campaign, racing alongside Charlie Manser in the Men’s U19 Double Sculls.

And what a field they’re taking on. With 33 crews entered, the Men’s Double is the largest event at this year’s championships. Their first challenge is the heats, with racing beginning from 8pm Thursday NZ time, followed by quarter-finals from 12.31am Friday.

Aidan and Charlie have a big few days of racing ahead as they work their way towards Saturday’s finals. We are incredibly proud to see Aidan wearing the silver fern and cannot wait to cheer them on!

It’s also brilliant to have another Marlborough athlete, Charlotte Gorman, representing New Zealand in the Women’s U19 Four. An amazing moment for rowing in our region.
