Thinking about getting your kid a scooter? Here's what it actually does for them, beyond just being a fun toy 🛴

It builds real coordination. Steering with the arms, balancing and pushing with the feet, watching for obstacles — it's a lot for a young brain and body to coordinate at once, and they build that skill without even realizing it's happening.

It makes exercise not feel like exercise. Getting kids active without a daily battle is hard. A scooter tends to solve that on its own, since they're having too much fun to notice they're working out.

It's a natural way to make friends. Neighborhood rides and skatepark visits turn into easy social moments, especially once other kids want to check out the new ride.

It gets them outside more. If screen time is a constant negotiation at your house, having something genuinely exciting waiting outside changes the conversation.
