Senior Doubles Club Championships 2026 – Open Now!

Entries are now open for our 2026 Senior Doubles Club Championships. The event will be run as last year but matches are best of three (full) sets with tie-breaker third set.

The timeline for the Doubles Club Championships is as follows:
🎾Entries are now open
🎾Entries Close 15 September
🎾Draw Will be Published Up 17 September
🎾Schedule Play - Players organise their matches feeding results back to the WhatsApp group
🎾FINALS - weather dependant. Either Fri evening 20 Nov and/or Sun afternoon 22 Nov.

Congratulations and well done to Tom, Zoe, Charlotte and Raymond who competed in the Tennis New Zealand Junior Indoor Nationals recently.

Coach Rhys was proud of their efforts, both on and off the courts, and happy to say they were great ambassadors for Canterbury and and Club tennis!

Waimairi Tennis Club is hosting a 2026/2027 Club Open Day, and invites anyone interested in playing tennis this season to discover exactly why we are one of the largest and most successful clubs in Christchurch!

We are running a loose schedule throughout the day so we can accommodate all ages and stages of tennis, and provide tailored advice and support:

* 8:30am - 10:30am - Hotshots (5-9 yr old)
* 11am - 1pm - Junior Interclub Hitting (10+)
* 1:30pm Onwards - Adults

That said, we will have staff and coaches on site throughout the day to welcome anyone, at anytime, with any queries around Club offerings and membership options.

There will be on-court activities, racquets available, competitions and a running sausage sizzle & treats throughout the day.

In the meantime, registrations for existing members are now open and we encourage you to tell your friends and secure your registrations today!
