GCWL Month in Review. March 2026

The Garden City Wanderers League, Summer Season is over halfway through.
So far we have played or are playing the “normal” short and long layouts of our 4 courses. Ascot, Bottle Jellie & Warren.
For the last 4 rounds of the season we’ll replay some layouts but with some alterations. It was timely that Ascot has had a layout change, so round 9 at Ascot will be White tees, having some newer holes to throw. Round 10 Warren, has a modified long layout for us to play. Round 11 Bottle will be the Short course, but hopefully there will be additional OB’s still marked from TDU, these will be in play. Round 12 Jellie will also get a modified layout to play.

The Warren modified layout should be accessible in UDisc now. There are a couple of similarly named layouts, but “GCWL 2025-26” is the one we’ll be playing.

The Garden City Wanderers League, Summer Season is well underway.

To date we have 34 players joined up.

Round 1. (1-14 Dec)
Ascot Yellow Tees
15 players logged their round during the first week; some cracker scores were carded.
There’s still plenty of time to get out and throw with the round not closing until midnight Sunday 14th.

Round 2. (8-21 Dec)
Warren Park
2 days in and 5 players have finished their rounds.

Round 3. (15-28 Dec)
Is just around the corner and will be playing Bottle Lake short tees.

There are still 2weeks of “league opener” events open for players to take part in and build a baseline handicap prior to the Summer Season start.
