10/10 fresh up training performance by Meg Cunneen and team plus a 11/10 ride by Corey yesterday winning with Aurora Storm ! Great to be able to be able to own a small share in Stormi what a thrill it was 🙌🥇
A fantastic days racing for the team back on our home track at Riccarton Park today.
Taking top honours, Aurora Storm flashed home from back in the field in the Beaufort Downs At Karaka 2026 Maiden 1200. A super patient ride for Corey Campbell to let the daughter of Toronado find her feet from the gate and she weaved her way through at lightning speed to win by a length at the line. It’s always fantastic to have Corey on, he’s a great mate of mine, and a top rider who has a great strike rate on our team.
Congratulations to Luke Whittaker, of Equine Pemf Therapy who shares in the ownership with me. Luke is a weekly visitor to the team to go over all the horses and make sure they’re feeling their best.
Also a massive congrats to Paige Wakelin-Noble who strapped her first winner! Paige has been with us over the school holidays and has been a fantastic asset to the team. A big thanks to her and Katie Readings for the job that goes on behind the scenes.
Hivari ran a massive race running second for Brett Murray, just beaten a nose under a big weight and from a bad gate, but pleased to see him do everything right as he can be frustrating at the best of times. He’s well on track to head north for his next start.
Holdem went super second up, she lead up in a race they ran a strong time in and stuck on gamely for Amber Riddell.
It wasn’t the day for Mis Speaks, she ranged up like she was going to run into it but just faltered so Corey did the right thing by her and looked after her. She’s pulled up happy and sound which is the main thing, welfare will always come first. But we will get her looked over and back to the drawing board with her.

🐴 Republican Party finishing of the year in unbelievable style winning 3 in a row including 2 Gr1 and going back to back in the Invercargil and Auckland Cup in the last two years for Kentuckiana Lodge 🙌🙌 an amazing year for Stu !
🐴 Francent also went back to back in Auckland winning the Gr1 Queen Of Hearts for Mark Jones Racing a tough mare on the rise!
🐴 The Present Maker continued his great vein of form winning the Harness 5000 in great style for Anne-Marie & Jack Best Racing great end to the year for a couple of my great mates and supporters.
An amazing feat by the Steve & Amanda Telfer(Stonewall Stud and Stables) beating the record for most wins in a season of 168 which has stood for over 31 years. A massive achievement by everyone involved !
