Bit of a cruisy night for us last night — managed to finish all 3 races with no real damage 👌

Unfortunately the lap scorer wasn’t working properly, so there are still no official results/positions as of yet.

Tonight’s grids are 13, 2, and 19, so we’ll see what we can do 💪 Still working through setup changes and figuring out what works best for both the driver and the car, but we’re learning more every time we hit the track 🏁

Videos from both nights racing will be posted later on tonight 🎥

The pits are full and we’re ready to kick off the first of 2 nights here at Awapuni Speedway! 🏁

Our grids for the night are 14, 6, and 7 — so we’ll see how things go. Fingers crossed for some clean racing and minimal issues 🤞

We’ve been pretty quiet on here lately, but we’re finally back 👀

It’s safe to say it’s been a pretty rough and frustrating season, with more breakages and rain-offs keeping the car off the track more often than we’d like. But behind the scenes, Matt has been putting in the hard yards to get everything sorted.

After our last meeting, we discovered the steering box was completely buggered, so that’s now been replaced and sorted. On top of that, all four shocks have been replaced after finding they were well past their best (2 completely buggered and the other 2 not far behind).

Safe to say it’s been more of a rebuild than race season, and as they say… if we didn’t have bad luck, we’d have no luck at all. But hopefully we’re turning a corner and past the worst of it 🤞

The car is all ready to go and we’re excited for the final two nights of racing at Awapuni Speedway for the season, hoping a bit of luck finally swings our way.

A huge thank you to our sponsors for sticking by us through all the ups and downs — Kevin Hollis Glass & Aluminium, Tupou Taliauli from Six7Six Barbers, and John from Uptown Graphics 🙌

Also a massive shoutout to our right-hand man Bob Fraider for always being there with advice and a helping hand when needed.

Without the continuous support from our sponsors, friends, and everyone who helps out, none of this would be possible 🙏

Looking forward to seeing everyone down at the track for one final weekend of racing 🔥

We’ll do our best to keep the page updated with results throughout the weekend — fingers crossed for a solid weekend and a strong finish to the season 💪

A bit of a delayed post because we’ve been a bit swamped with life lately, but here’s our recap from last weekend at Awapuni Speedway as a support class for the Production Saloon Champs of Champs (10/1/2026).

Only a very small group of stockcars, but still a good night of racing.
Race 1 we started off the front, but tyre pressures and setup were a bit off so the car was pretty wild and hard to handle. Still managed to bring it home in 3rd (I think), so we’ll take that.

Race 2 we started off the back and managed to drive through the field to take the car’s very first checkered flag! Absolutely stoked with that… even if it came at the expense of our gearbox, which is now totally shredded. Unfortunately that was the end of our night.

Still over the moon to tick off the first win and hopefully the first of many. We’ve organized two gearboxes to be rebuilt, so fingers crossed for better luck next time.

Huge thank you to the Awapuni Speedway track staff for putting on a good night, MTF Finance Gisborne for their ongoing support of our track, and our main sponsor Kevin Hollis Glass & Aluminium for the continued support, as well as Neil Gooch from Mangapapa Garage for jumping in and helping sort some last-minute fixes on our tyres and Tupou Taliauli from 676 Barbers here in Gisborne. Without the continued support from all of you guys we wouldn't be able to do this.

Also a massive thanks to Sheryn Beuth, Keelyn Smith and their little man Rylee for coming along and helping pit crew for the evening – we really appreciate it.

After a full-on weekend at the track and long hours in the shed, a chilled Sunday was well deserved.
Beach, beers, and the boys on the bike — the perfect way to unwind. 🍻🏖️✌️

What an epic night!
We’re finally catching a bit of luck and ticking off some of those small issues that have been holding us back.

Matt got three races under his belt last night with solid results — and more importantly, some much-needed and wanted seat time.

Race Results:
• Race 1: 13th → 10th
• Race 2: 7th → 6th
• Race 3: 1st → 6th (a tough start after missing 2nd gear, but he made good pace and worked his way back through the pack)

A super happy driver and pit crew — its great to see all the hard work and dedication starting to pay off.

The car’s all checked over and just needs a bit of minor work before our next meeting in the new year.

As always, a massive thank-you to our sponsors Kevin Hollis Glass & Aluminium and to everyone who pitches in to get this car on track. And a huge shout-out to the track staff and volunteers — these race nights wouldn’t happen without the long hours, late nights, and early mornings they put in long before we even arrive at the track.
(Videos of races to come later)

After a bit of hard luck last night and some solid hard work from the lads this morning we’re loaded up and ready to give it another go tonight for the Awapuni Speedway Ashley Scott Stockcar Memorial.

We’re still working through a few minor teething issues with the car, and of course getting our heads around the massive setup changes from a Streetstock to a Stockcar. Unfortunately, we lost our drive belt last night which meant Matt suddenly had no steering or power, putting us out of the running.

Still, it was awesome to watch some action-packed racing, especially the first night of the North Island Streetstock Championship.

Fingers crossed for tonight!
Keep an eye on the page for updates and (hopefully) some good results. 🚗💨🔥
