The multicultural badminton tournament was a huge success, and I would like to thank all participants for their involvement. We just wrapped up this year's Multicultural Badminton Event! This two-day tournament was hosted by the Waikato Filipino Badminton Association in coordination with the Waikato Filipino Association. It all started as a new initiative last year, and we didn’t know what to expect—but it was a success, thanks to each of you!
While today’s event wasn’t without its challenges, we’re happy to know that most of our participants enjoyed it. For us, it was our first time using tournament software, and we admit, it felt a bit daunting. But with the support of so many generous people, we were able to keep everything running smoothly.
To our players and attendees, we hope you had a great experience. We’re committed to making next year even better, and we can’t wait to see you all again!

Today, we completed an impressive 127 matches across singles and mix doubles, running from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm! It was a full day of back-to-back games, and we truly saw the dedication and resilience in every player. We’re very grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding as we continue to refine our use of the tournament software.
A special thanks goes to Michelle Njoman for her incredible support, working tirelessly with us from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Your hard work made a big difference today—Kudos to you! Thank you to everyone who was there who helped us from start to finish.
Tomorrow, we’ll start with doubles matches beginning at 9:00 am. Don’t forget to register for a chance to win spot prizes, and please arrive at least 30 minutes before your match to help keep the day running smoothly.

A quick note to all players: Matches in the box stages will be self-umpired. For quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, we’ll arrange umpires for you. If needed, players may be asked to umpire other matches.
