Quick update and we'll be quiet for a bit due to me running the Great Naseby Water Race.
Thanks to everyone so far, we'll be absolutely pumping when I'm back!!!

Check out this Kaweka Sika deer and check out your emails!!
All entrants have received an email stating whether you were lucky enough to get selected or not.
We are stoked to announce that all races are now full and entries are closed. There will be more emails to follow so keep an eye out.
With the amount of entries and limited numbers we had to keep it fair and draw names out of a hat. Unfortunately people will be disappointed but it is what it is.
Thanks for the emails supporting our decisions and the offer of help on the day, it is much appreciated.

Cheers, your Kaweka Challenge team.

Can't please everyone unfortunately but we're doing our best. We have to draw the line somewhere so here it is.
Standby for email confirmation this weekend.

The Kaweka J.
The 50km race heads straight up there, it's a character building climb!!
We are no longer accepting entries for the 25km and 50km events. We are over subscribed already and will be working through these to see who is savage enough to run the 50km.
Entries will be randomly selected and we have limited numbers so bear with us.

Who's started training for the Kaweka Challenge? I got some kms done up Te Mata Park today before it rained. Glad I wasn't in the Kawekas, it looks nasty up there🤣
Website should be live this week, standby...

Just a quick update team, the website is not far away, we'll let you know as soon as it's up.
Looking for sponsors as well, if you can help out or know someone who can, fire through a message. Let's make this an awesome event and raise as much money as possible for our amazing charities!!

Our third charity that we are super proud to support is the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter here in Hawkes Bay. These guys do amazing work in rescuing people around the district among other important tasks as well.
And let's be honest, we might need them out there on the day, but hopefully not.

The second charity that we're supporting with the Kaweka Challenge is Save our Kaweka Kiwi.
These guys do amazing work in the Kawekas with Kiwi, their aim is to combat the threat, conserve the local kiwi population and, over time, establish a viable and expanding number of kiwi. To date, dedicated volunteers have raised and returned more than 310 chicks into the Kaweka Forest Park.
Absolute legends doing super important work and we are really proud to be able to help them out.
