🏔️ **TrackMe Supporting the 2026 Hillary Challenge**

This week, 12 of New Zealand’s top secondary school adventure teams are taking on one of the toughest challenges in youth adventure sport — the **2026 Hillary Challenge National Final** at Hillary Outdoors Tongariro.

📍 **5–9 October 2026**
📡 **Follow the live tracking:** https://hillary-challenge.bendracing.com

Over five days, teams of eight Year 11–13 students will be tested through navigation, endurance, problem-solving, leadership and teamwork.

And this is about far more than simply being the fastest.

Competitors need to make good decisions when they’re tired, manage themselves in challenging outdoor environments and keep working together when things don’t quite go to plan.

The week includes a demanding **two-day rogaine-style wilderness expedition**, followed by an intense multisport race on the final day.

TrackMe is incredibly proud to continue supporting the Hillary Challenge, providing the **GPS race tracking and live leaderboard** that allows organisers, schools, families and supporters to follow the teams as the action unfolds.

Adventure racing happens far away from stadiums and grandstands.

**GPS tracking helps bring the grandstand to the adventure.**

This year’s finalists are:

Motueka High School
Middleton Grange School
Cashmere High School
Fiordland College
St Andrew’s College
Rangi Ruru Girls’ School / Christchurch Boys’ High School
Whakatāne High School / Trident High School
New Plymouth Girls’ High School / New Plymouth Boys’ High School
Rotorua Lakes High School
Westlake Girls’ High School / Westlake Boys’ High School
John Paul College
Whangamatā Area School

Motueka High School returns as defending champion after winning the 2025 event.

Events like the Hillary Challenge play an important role in the future of New Zealand adventure sport. These young people are learning the skills that sit at its heart — **navigation, resilience, leadership, teamwork and making good decisions under pressure.**

Some may go on to become adventure racers, mountain bikers, paddlers, climbers, rogainers or outdoor professionals.

But every one of them will leave knowing a little more about what they are capable of.

That is something **TrackMe is very proud to support.**

Good luck to all 12 teams.

👀 **We’ll be watching the dots.**

**Stay safe. Stay connected. Keep adventuring.**
