Cozy birthday weekend away with old friends, rainy walks, and my two weirdos (I don't know them 😅) ❤️
I'm terrified of falling, can you tell? 😂
Been learning how to since Easter, and I'm proud of my progress. Surf skate is a great way to learn surf skills on land, and when you see it done well it looks beautiful and fun too!
Next on my list is martial arts classes to learn the art of falling 🤓
Didn't think I would make it even up to 20kg, but then did what she does best, and believed in me enough to push me. This is 25kg - not heavy for some, but plenty for me!

These deadlifts 🏋🏼♀️ were the finisher in today's workout with . Before doing these, Julia put me through an annihilating workout that included a 50 rep drop set of box steps, wall balls and KB swings 🥵 There's no way I would do this of my own volition on a tired Friday, thanks Julia!
Today's session with was 🔥 and so much fun! Wall balls, full push ups and power cleans are new for me, and my fave is definitely the power cleans. Lots of technical thought goes into each step of the clean - I love the mental focus it requires.
Lots to work on, and I'm looking forward to getting stronger so I can load on more plates!
New fave - medicine ball slams 😍💪🏻 these are a hybridised version, because I love incorporating rotation wherever I can! 🤓
Last week's squat practice.
My body loves to push the ribs forward, because it's easier to lift my chest that way! But in doing so, I shorten the back of the spine and lose connection to my lower abs, so the squat doesn't feel as strong as I'd like it to. The dowel is helping train my body into a new habit of maintaining an "organised" torso.
