Our crew travels to job sites throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, so applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently arrive for early morning starts.

🌲 LOG BUILDING COURSE 2027 – REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN 🌲

Have you ever wanted to learn the traditional craft of handcrafted log building?

The Log Building Association of New Zealand (LBANZ) and Natural Log Homes are excited to announce our 2027 Log Building Course, taking place in Geraldine, New Zealand from 5th to 21st April 2027.

Spend 13 days immersed in a real working log building yard, learning from experienced builders while helping construct an actual log structure. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience and learn skills that have been passed down through generations.

Spaces are limited, so early registration is recommended.

I’m OFTEN reminded of how lucky I am to have my husband Brook.

And yes, I am grateful. But I want to say that what we’ve built here isn’t luck.
A stable, healthy marriage isn’t something that just happens to you. It’s built. It’s chosen. It’s worked on, by both people.

This home didn’t just appear because one person worked hard. It exists because two people worked hard together. While Brook is out working on other peoples homes, I'm here. Holding things together. Making decisions. Doing the unseen work. Learning, problem-solving, planning, building, managing, and putting in just as much heart and effort.

A homestead, like a strong marriage, is a two-way street. One hand doesn’t build a life alone.

So if you’re someone who’s often told you’re “lucky” whether it’s your partner, your home, or your life, remember this:
