Morrinsville hosted 22 keen ladies last Sunday for a great 1 day tournament that saw some first timers and some regular keen Squasher Gals!! So good to see the ladies have a great day, with families down supporting and having a blast! Congrats to the all players and to the ladies that placed!! Two more rounds left in the series, Edgecumbe Squash & Tennis Club and Thames Squash Club.

Our Senior Waikato Team kick off their campaign today in Hawkes Bay. Good luck to our Mens & Womens teams, who are up against some pretty tough competition.

Te Aroha Squash Club have after many requests their B Grade & below tournament 4 - 5 September ⛰️

Te Kuiti Squash Club are hosting the first doubles of the season also on the 4 - 5 September. 🐑

All events will be a great time and worth the effort!!

Tuesday nights are for the boys 🍻🥩

Fantastic evening held at our club last night. We are on weeks off between interclubs so why not have banter and squash! The amazing lads from Leamington Squash Club came across for a little mid week challenge. Everyone turned up in good moods, fighting fit and with smiles for miles! 🌟

Morrinsville came out out as the winner on the night 7-5, 🏆 not that it mattered 😅 and then a roast pork was enjoyed by all.

So good to have the guys over for some social games and laughs, we love the squash community!

We are looking forward to coming across to Leamington at the end of spring for a rematch and see if you can top the dinner!!

🌟 Morrinsville Juniors mid year update! 🌟

It’s been a minute since we have talked about our incredible Juniors and what they have been achieving!! 🏆

🔵 Firstly, another big thanks to Harcourts Kevin Deane Real Estate for the massive support in our juniors, in the future of our clubs beating heart. Investing in the health & well being of our juniors is critical to future success! 🔵

We are at the mid point of the squash season and they have been working hard! Monday trainings, club nights, Waikato Interclub, Werders 1 day series, tournaments! The list is looong! And they have been smashing it!! The athletes such as the Morrinsville college team at the Secondary Schools, Charlie Hamer at North Island age groups, Lucas Tumai at Waikato Junior Open, Emily Gubb at the Secondary Schools too! That’s just to name a small group!!

This week on Friday, we host another round of the Junior Waikato Interclub. So if you want to see what all this is about, or if this could be a great opportunity for your kids to get out and socialise, meet some new amazing people and play one heck of a great sport, pop on down!! 🔴 ⚫️ 🟡

🏆 Morrinsville Open 2026 🏆

2026, we welcomed onboard 🔴 Westpac NZ 🔴, along with 🔵 Harcourts Kevin Deane Real Estate, 🌳 Oak Eatery and 🔖 Construction Solutions Group. We appreciate the support, especially those Great ladies in the Bar!!

An amazing weekend with so much good squash! The people make these tournaments and the people that past through the Morrinsville club this week, you were all just the best ‼️

For the full list of outcomes we will post them during the week. But the big draw the men’s and women’s Open Champions, that good cream! 🐄 we were entertained by two fantastic finals, both champions got their wins in 4 sets but had the crowd cheering for every knick, boast and lunge!

Games are well underway! We have the women’s open finalist sorted! That’s going to be cracker with Thames Squash Club’s Casey Owen vs Hamilton Squash & Tennis Club Grace Burnard

Morrinsville’s Dion Morgan has locked in his spot on the Open Men’s final. Some great games still to come, a few finals locked in that should bring the fireworks 🎆

Plenty going on, still plenty of games left in the day, so head down and have a watch, a drink or have a chat someone!!
