It was fantastic to welcome Senpai Yvette from MOKNZ Waitākere Dōjō to Chīsana Kyokushin Dōjō New Zealand tonight.

It's always great to have fellow karateka from other dōjō join us for training and share in the Kyokushin spirit. We loved having Senpai Yvette train alongside us.

I don't think anyone was quite prepared for our final game of **Osu Rush** though! Being so tall, Senpai Yvette had quite the advantage, and there weren't many places to hide from her! There were plenty of laughs to finish off a great evening.

Thank you for visiting and training with us, Senpai Yvette. You're welcome back anytime!

What an incredible night celebrating 2 years of Chīsana Kyokushin Dōjō New Zealand! 🥋💚

It was so special to come together with our dojo families to celebrate not just our anniversary, but the amazing community we've built together.

From one dream to an incredible dojo family, we're so proud of everything we've achieved over the past two years.

A special acknowledgement to our Foundation Members, who believed in us from the very beginning and helped shape Chīsana into the dojo it is today.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us tonight. Here's to the memories we've made and the exciting journey still ahead!

✨🥋 What a way to kick off the new term! 🥋✨

Tonight we celebrated Matariki with a special glow stick karate session, and what a blast it was!

With the lights off and glow sticks lighting up the dōjō, our karateka took part in a range of fun karate-themed games and challenges that tested their speed, teamwork, focus, and agility. There was plenty of laughter, smiles, and great sportsmanship throughout the evening.

Matariki is a time to reflect, reconnect, and look ahead, and it was wonderful to celebrate together as our dojo whānau.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a memorable night. We can't wait to see what this term brings!

✨ **Mānawatia a Matariki** ✨

As the Matariki stars rise, we take time to reflect on the journey that has brought us here, celebrate the achievements of our Chīsana Kyokushin Dōjō community, and look ahead to the opportunities that lie before us.

Karate is about so much more than learning to punch and kick. It is about building confidence, resilience, respect, discipline, friendships, and a sense of belonging. Every person who walks through our doors contributes to the positive, supportive community we are proud to call Chīsana.

To our students, families, supporters, and everyone who follows our journey—thank you for being part of our story. Your encouragement and support help our club continue to grow and make a positive difference in the lives of our karateka.

We hope this Matariki brings you time to reflect, reconnect with loved ones, and set new aspirations for the year ahead.

From all of us at **Chīsana Kyokushin Dōjō New Zealand**, we wish you a safe, happy, and meaningful Matariki.

**Mānawatia a Matariki.** 🌟🥋

🎉 What a way to finish Term 2! 🎉

We wrapped up the term with a fun-filled karate class packed with games, challenges, teamwork, and plenty of laughs! 😄

Sometimes the best training isn't about grading or perfect technique—it's about enjoying time together, building friendships, and remembering why we love coming to the dojo.

You could hear the laughter echoing around the dojo, you know it was exactly what everyone needed to finish off a fantastic term. 💙

A huge thank you to all of our students and families for your continued support throughout the term. We hope you all enjoy a well-deserved one-week break, have a wonderful Matariki with your loved ones, and come back refreshed and ready for another awesome term of karate!

See you all soon!

🐉🥋 Little Dragons Graduation – Term 2 🥋🐉

What a fantastic way to finish the term! We are so proud of our **Little Dragons** and everything they have achieved over the past few months.

🌟 **Tanner** earned his **very first belt** – a huge milestone on his karate journey! Congratulations on your hard work and determination.

🌟 **Emmie** and **Charlie** both graduated to their **White Belt with Purple Stripe (4th Dragon Belt)**. They have worked incredibly hard this term and continue to grow in confidence and skill.

🌟 **George** may not have progressed to his next belt just yet, but he has earned **another black stripe** in recognition of his continued effort and improvement as he works towards his next grading. Progress isn't always about the next belt—it's about perseverance, and George has shown exactly that.

Every child progresses at their own pace, and we are incredibly proud of each of them for their commitment, courage, and willingness to keep learning.

Congratulations, Little Dragons! We can't wait to see what next term brings. 🐉💙

🌟🥋 June Karatekas of the Month! 🥋🌟

Normally, we recognise just two Karatekas of the Month... but this month was different!

These four students have all shown such outstanding dedication, effort, perseverance, and attitude that we simply couldn't choose only two.

🏆 Alex
🏆 Kaea
🏆 Oliver (not pictured – away on photo night)
🏆 Lachlan

Each of you has consistently demonstrated what it means to be a true karateka—training hard, showing respect, supporting others, and always giving your best.

Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement! We are incredibly proud of you all. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏💙🥋
