As a mum of 5, I don’t need another complicated routine, another “bounce back” expectation or another reason to feel like I’m not doing enough.

I just want movement that feels good, activewear that makes me feel confident, and clothes that can keep up with real mum life.

Before Te Tahi Active existed, I was a cosmetic tattooist.

But deep down, I knew I was capable of more.

I met Nicola Adams CWKNZ at Real Talk, and she opened up a completely different perspective on life for me.

One thing really stuck with me:

People are going to talk whether you’re doing good or doing bad. So you might as well do what makes YOU happy.
But Nix told it in her own unique way that made me do the “bitcccchhh, go do whatever the f*ck you want” 🤭

And honestly? That changed something in me.

I decided I’d become a nail technician.

Because why not?

If I wanted to do it, I could learn it.
If I wanted to change direction, I could.
And if people wanted to have an opinion… they could. 😂

Then came motherhood — raising 5 kids, multiple pregnancies, postpartum bodies and trying to stay active through all of it.

And I became increasingly frustrated with activewear that just wouldn’t stay up.

So I decided to create the leggings I actually wanted to wear.

And that’s how Te Tahi Active was born. 🤍
