Day 3

MY WBSN $20,000 WOMEN’S SNOOKER TOURNAMENT – MELBOURNE 2026 ❤️

And that brings my journey at the WBSN $20,000 Women’s Snooker Tournament to a close.

I came to Melbourne with the goal of competing, enjoying my snooker and assessing the progress of my game. I leave feeling extremely proud of what I have achieved.

Over the first two days, I produced some strong performances, secured the results I needed and qualified as one of the top two players in my section, earning my place in the Last 16 of the Main Event.

For me, this is a significant achievement. ❤️

Reaching the Last 16 in such a strong field has demonstrated that my game is taking me in the right direction. There are always areas to improve, lessons to learn and aspects of my game that require further attention, but that is an important part of the journey.

One of the highlights of the tournament was sharing the table once again with my twin and dear friend, Carlie, in the Last 16. Our cue-sports journeys have crossed many times over the years, and competing against each other again here in Melbourne created another memorable chapter.

I lost to Carlie 2–0, although the scoreline does not fully reflect how closely contested the match was. Carlie played solid, consistent snooker throughout both frames. While I was unfortunate with some shots, I take nothing away from Carlie’s outstanding performance. She played brilliantly, and I am proud to have shared the table with her.

I will now support the remaining players as a spectator and wish them all the very best of luck for the rest of the tournament and the final.

Most importantly, I leave this tournament with greater experience, increased belief and even more determination to continue progressing.

Every tournament provides valuable lessons.

Every match contributes another chapter to the journey.

And every time I step up to the table, I continue to learn, develop and pursue the goals I have set for myself.

A sincere thank you to my family and friends for their continued support, encouragement and belief in me. Your messages of encouragement mean more than you may realise. ❤️

I would also like to extend my special thanks to the wonderful local businesses that have supported my Cue Sports Journey:

✨ Bed Bath & Beyond – New Plymouth Home Store
✨ Shining Peak Brewing
✨ Event Cinemas New Plymouth
✨ The Warehouse – Bell Block

Your support has helped make opportunities like this possible, and I am genuinely grateful.

Melbourne 2026 — another tournament, another valuable experience and another step forward.

🇳🇿 Proud to represent New Zealand.

What a great day of snooker!

I was really happy with how I played today, winning my first match 2–0, then picking up an important frame in my final match.

I’m absolutely thrilled to have done enough to qualify as one of the Top 2 players in my section and make it through to the Main Event – Last 16 tomorrow! ❤️

The round-robin matches have been best of 3 with a 90-minute time limit, but from the Last 16 through to the Final, there will be no match timer.

Tomorrow is going to be a very special one as I play my twin and dear close friend, Carlie, in the Last 16. ❤️

Our last battle was in the Final of the 2025 WWS Australian Women’s Seniors Open Snooker at Mounties, so it feels pretty special to be facing each other once again here in Melbourne.

I’m really looking forward to tomorrow, giving it everything I have and enjoying another opportunity on the table.

A huge thank you to all my family and friends for your ongoing love, encouragement and support throughout my Cue Sports Journey. ❤️

🎱 Palmy Sports Club Open Singles 8 Ball Tournament 2026
📅 22nd–23rd August 2026

What a really great weekend of 8 Ball!

I felt really positive about my game throughout the weekend. I was playing well, feeling good at the table, and was pleased to qualify through to the Top 16.

Unfortunately, a couple of silly shots at the wrong time brought my run in the main event to an end. I was surprised, but grateful, to then have the opportunity to play in the Flight, where I think I had finally run out of steam. VTO went on to make the Flight Final — congratulations on a great run!

Although I didn't get the result I was hoping for, I still walked away receiving Furthest Women's Player, so all certainly wasn't lost. 🏆

Overall, it was a fantastic weekend.

A huge congratulations to all the winners, finalists and everyone who competed, and thank you to Palmy Sports Club for a great tournament and weekend.

Thank you to all my friends and family for the on going love and support that you show, I'm very greatful ❤️

Another memory and another chapter in my cue sports journey. ❤️🎱

🎱 DELAYED UPDATE – COAST TO COAST 8 BALL 🏆

On the 8th–9th August 2026, I teamed up with my partner Sam to compete in the Coast to Coast 8 Ball Pairs, held at the New Plymouth Club.

It wasn’t quite the performance weekend we had hoped for, and things didn’t always go our way. But instead of letting the negatives take over, we regrouped, stayed positive and kept fighting.

We managed to turn our weekend around and finish on a high by winning the Trophy Event! 🏆🎱

Sometimes a tournament isn’t about everything going perfectly — it’s about how you respond when it doesn’t.

Proud that Sam and I stuck together, kept going and came away with a win to show for it.

Competed in the Ian McInnes Memorial 8 Ball Tournament Aug 1-2, alongside a strong field of 120 players.

Section play was a little inconsistent from the outset. Regardless of the opponent, I struggled to find my best form early on. Even so, it was a fantastic weekend with some outstanding pool on display, and it was a privilege to be part of such a high-quality event.

I finished the section play with 3 wins from 6 matches. The top three players from each section qualified for the Championship Event, and I unfortunately missed out by just one frame, which meant I progressed into the Trophy Event.
@
Ranked 2nd in the Trophy Event, I received a bye straight into the Last 32.

From that point, my game began to come together. In the Last 32, I was potting well, my cue ball control improved, and my shot selection became much more consistent.

The Last 16 was arguably my strongest performance of the weekend. I played with confidence, made strong decisions throughout, and secured a convincing 3–0 victory.

Unfortunately, the Quarterfinals did not go my way. I was not quite at my best and overhit a few shots that required a softer touch. While my shot selection remained sound, I was unable to fully capitalise on the opportunities I created, and at this level those chances are crucial. My tournament concluded with a 3–0 loss.

Overall, I am pleased with how I played across the weekend, particularly after such a challenging start. Missing Championship qualification by just one frame and then finishing in the top eight of the Trophy Event in a field of 120 players gives me plenty of positives to build on moving forward.

A huge thank you to Darryl, Baz, the Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club, and the bar, café, and restaurant teams for once again delivering a fantastic event. A special thank you also to Lee Hildred, Brendan McLean as QsportsRus for the excellent live streaming and commentary, allowing everyone to follow the action throughout the weekend. As always, your hospitality was greatly appreciated.

Now, the exciting stuff.

Champion of Champions Heyball
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2026

Representing New Zealand in the Champion of Champions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from July 21-26, 2026, was a significant honor.

Competing against 64 women in a straight knockout format, with matches lasting 100 minutes and requiring six wins, provided an intense experience.

My match at 11:30 AM against Anna Prisjazsnuka from Latvia resulted in a 6-2 loss, despite a few frames being closely contested. This second major Heyball tournament reinforced my appreciation for the game, its equipment, and the professionalism of the referees.

I really can't wait to be able to put the time in on the tables once I'm back home.

Excited to see what's next and just really improving more within this game.

Thank you to Joy Billiards.
Appreciation to Leanne Hass, NZPA and my roomie Jessica Woods.

None of this is possible without the support of my number 1 support person and loving partner Lee Hildred and the loving support of all my friends and family I really do appreciate you all and am very grateful.

Life, for a while, required my complete attention and commitment, which meant I had to step away for a period while I was needed elsewhere.

I participated where I could, but also knew when I needed to withdraw.

During that time, snooker and practice had to take a back seat.

Now, the storm has passed, the flowers have bloomed, and the worry and uncertainty are finally behind.

I'm so grateful to be in a place where I can continue my cue sports journey with a clear mind, renewed focus, and excitement for what lies ahead.

To everyone who has continued to follow, support, and believe in me throughout this journey—thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can't fully express how much your encouragement and kindness means to me.

I'm looking forward to sharing this next chapter with you all.

But firstly I will update all these missed events upto:

Women's National Snooker Championship 2026:
Trophy Winner

2026 North Island Open 8 Ball took place at the Levin Cosmopolitan Club 🎱

I participated in the singles event on Friday, May 29, and managed to qualify for third place with a margin of 0.10.

The competition was tough, with some exceptional games, and although I performed reasonably well, I have had better days.

As a result, I advanced to the main event the following day, where I faced Shay Smith.

Saturday, May 30, the main event took place.

I played against Shay Smith, delivering some outstanding pool, but unfortunately, minor errors led to a 4-2 loss.

Subsequently, I played my flight match, and to be frank, without disrespecting my opponent, I felt that I did not perform at my best, losing 2-0, and all I could do was shake my opponent's hand and wish him continued success.

Following the Women's Snooker Trans Tasman Test Match, we extended a warm welcome to the 2026 New Zealand Women's Open.

Held 23/24 May 2026

I had no justification for my subpar performance, except for insufficient practice time at the table.

Although I failed to qualify, I managed to advance to the final of the Trophy event, where I was ultimately defeated by Corien Simpson 2/1.
