2nd at FEMCA ASIA PACIFIC 1:8 GT CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🏆

Lockie had a successful 4 days at the beautifully presented and well run England Park Raceway last week, finishing 2nd in the final.

Thank you to all who put their time and effort in to make the event so great.

A big thanks to JRI Limited, SpeedyRC Online Store, John Rae and Andrew Shapland for putting everything together to make it happen.

Kent Perry - thanks for another stellar job on the body, Lockie also took out concours for his class. We appreciate your creativity and effort you put in to make Lockie's cars stand out and always look the part.

A VERY late update about Lockie's racing from the NZ Gas Nationals (1/8th GT) in Christchurch a few weeks ago.

Lockie had a challenging Qualifying on the Saturday with a stripped gear but managed to come in qualifying 5th after 3 heats.

Sunday saw the weather threatening rain, so they decided to run 30 minute finals over the normal 45 minutes, to ensure as many classes as possible could run their finals races.

Lockie slipped back a bit on the start but dug deep and drove consistently well to see him running in 1st position after 20 minutes. After a racing incident saw him get stuck in the wet grass, he got going again but with wet tires he slipped in to 2nd place.

At the end of the race Lockie finished 2nd, .07 seconds behind 1st. Lockie drove incredibly well setting the fastest overall time of the race, including his last lap being .007 seconds behind his fastest lap.

Another great day racing on-road at TRCCC - Taranaki Radio Control Car Club, was a pristine day for it.

Lockie had a good day which saw his lap times improve over the day.

Lockie and JR are on their way back from a quick trip across the ditch for a night racing under lights at England Park Raceway.

Lockie had a great night finishing 2nd behind Russell. Lots of learning and lots of laps.

Hong Nor RC Model Cars

Another few days in Australia under Lockie's belt testing and running in the engines on the new Hong Nor X3 GTS 1:8 Nitro cars.

Lockie pictured holding the body kindly gifted to him by Russell Grenenger. Thank you Russell, its really appreciated and means a lot to Lockie.

1st session today saw a slight gear box change, car was fast and the tune perfect.

2nd session today was running in the second engine to prepare for the New Zealand champs in Christchurch in January.

Finished off a busy few days with dinner tonight. A massive thanks to Shaps (Andrew Shapland), Russell and Mike from SpeedyRC Online Store for all of your help, guidance and support.

Lockie busy on the Mini Tractor today (with JR's guidance) filling in the drain and doing more work for the prep for the new On-road track at Clemow Road.

Great day working with Alister, Ricky, Pedro on the digger, Lucas and Adam.

Can't wait for the new track to be up and running.
