Congratulations to the following players selected for the Waikato Māori U11s Tamariki team competing at the 2026 ANZMRL Tamariki Tournament, held 26–27 September at Rotorua International Stadium.

A huge congratulations to each and every one of you. Your hard mahi, commitment, and determination have earned you this opportunity. Wear the Waikato Māori jersey with pride, support one another, and embrace every moment of the journey. We know you will represent your whānau, clubs, and iwi with mana.

To your whānau, coaches, managers, and communities thank you for the unwavering support you continue to give these tamariki. Your guidance and encouragement are helping shape the future of Waikato Māori rugby league.

Waikato Junior Rugby League have offered Waikato Maaori the opportunity to run the shop during the youth grades Grand Finals day on Sunday 16 August at the Huntly Sports Complex.

We are looking for volunteers to help staff the shop throughout the day. If your child has represented Waikato Maaori or you have played for Waikato Maaori , we would really appreciate your support. Our small komiti can't do this on our own.

This is a great chance to give back to our kaupapa while helping raise funds for our Waikato Maaori programme. We need people to cook the bbq and man the shop.

If you are available to volunteer for a couple of hours, please let us know by commenting on this post or contacting us directly. If we don’t get enough kaimahi, we’ll have to pass on the opportunity.
