I have a couple of spaces at Horsewyse Saddlery if you contact me straight away
I can check and adjust your existing saddle, including those from NSC Saddles NZ for whom I am an approved fitter.  I can bring new NSC saddles for you to try and we have access to the wonderful stock of secondhand saddles held at Horsewyse. 
Horses change shape, riders grow and change shape, the wool in saddles compacts and can become less springy on the horses back… This is the time to get the fit checked, before the new season really starts and problems start to arise!

Manawatu Western Riding Club Inc. has a wonderful calendar of upcoming events. Reach out to the club and go along to one of their club days to see if western riding could be right for you and your equine. All levels are catered for from the newbie right through to the pro. Have fun and try something new

Spring saddle fitting dates. Mary Pagnamenta from Moving Together will be offering saddle fitting appointments at the arena behind the shop. The arena is fully fences, as is the carpark. Please contact Mary direct if you would like her to assist you.

SADDLE FITTING IN MANAWATU… a new season is upon us!

 I will be at Horsewyse Saddlery which is a great venue with good parking, a nice arena and a tie up space where we can work undercover .

It is also a fabulous shop where you can not only buy another, even nicer, saddle blanket or a new girth but we can also tap into a good stock of secondhand saddles if you are saddle hunting.

After daylight saving I plan to be there every other Thursday.
The Shop is open late on Thursdays so there potentially is time for two horses after school or after work

*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*
At yesterday’s AGM, the President and Committee reflected on what was a very positive 2026 New Zealand National Horse & Pony Show in trying weather conditions.

The Show has a proud history and 2026 was another successful chapter, with a strong sense of achievement and a positive experience for those involved in competing and those delivering the event.

But, as with any organisation, circumstances and priorities change over time.

A number of Committee members have now resigned after giving significant time and service to the Show. Their decisions reflect changing personal priorities and the natural conclusion of their time in their respective roles, having delivered years of valued service to the Show. They depart the committee leaving the Show with a trusted reputation and a strong financial position.

All officer positions are available, leaving a genuine opportunity for new passionate volunteers to come forward and help shape the future of this much-loved event.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
For the 2027 Show to proceed, new Committee members and officers are needed.

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, committed and keen to be part of continuing the proud tradition of the New Zealand National Horse & Pony Show.
