🌿 SUNDAY = RECOVERY DAY 🌿
Sunday is my favourite kind of training day…
Training my body to do absolutely bu**er all. 😂
After a week of work, workouts, life and all the things, Sunday is my day to slow right down and recharge the batteries. 🔋✨
😴 Sleep in — because apparently 5:30am doesn’t need to happen EVERY day!
🥑 Eat good food — because recovery needs fuel
🚶♀️ Go for a walk — movement, but make it leisurely
🧘♀️ Meditate — quiet the mind
🔥 Sauna — sweat out the week
🧊 Cold therapy — because apparently I enjoy voluntarily freezing myself 🥶😂
🛋️ And plenty of REST!
Recovery isn't being lazy. It’s part of the training.
Your muscles, nervous system and mind all need time to reset, repair and come back stronger. 💪✨
So today I’m swapping “go harder” for “slow the heck down.” 😂
Because sometimes self-care looks like meditation and sauna…
…and sometimes it looks like eating something delicious in comfy clothes and refusing to feel guilty about it. 😜❤️

🌱 From patio pot to plate… 🥬
There’s something so satisfying about growing your own food — even if it’s just a few pots on the patio! 🥰
Today I harvested my homegrown spinach, and honestly… food just feels a little more special when you’ve watched it grow from a tiny seed into something you can pick and eat. 🌱➡️🥬
And spinach is one little powerhouse of a leafy green!
💚 Packed with vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, C and K
💚 A great source of folate and iron
💚 Contains magnesium, potassium and other important nutrients
💚 Rich in antioxidants that help protect our cells
💚 Naturally high in fibre to support healthy digestion
💚 And it’s an easy way to add more nutrient-dense goodness to your meals
I love the reminder that nourishing our bodies doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.
Sometimes it’s as simple as stepping outside, picking a handful of fresh greens and putting them on your plate. 🌿
Grow a little. Eat a little. Nourish a lot. 💚

Lately I've been putting a real focus on supporting my lymphatic system—not because it's a quick fix, but because it's an important part of looking after my overall health and recovery.
The lymphatic system helps move excess fluid, supports immune function, and clears waste from the body. Unlike the heart, it doesn't have a pump, so it relies on us to keep it moving.
Some of the things I'm doing regularly include:
✨ Strength training and walking
✨ Deep breathing
✨ Infrared sauna sessions
✨ Lymphatic massage
✨ Staying well hydrated
✨ Prioritising quality sleep
✨ Eating nourishing whole foods
I'm not chasing perfection—I'm simply creating healthy habits that help my body function at its best.
Our bodies do so much for us every single day.
Sometimes the best thing we can do is slow down, recover, and give them the support they deserve.
What are you doing this week to support your health? 💚

Today I finally did something I've been wanting to do for YEARS...
I went to my first salsa class! 💃
Honestly, the only thing holding me back wasn't the kids, work, running a business, or having "no time"... it was the ridiculous stories I'd made up in my own head.
"You're too big."
"You'll look silly."
"Everyone else will know what they're doing."
"You'll probably end up looking like you've stepped on Lego while everyone else glides across the floor." 😂
Well... turns out I was actually pretty good 😁
I laughed, I smiled like an absolute Cheshire cat, I met some awesome people, and I had an absolute blast.
Not once did anyone point and laugh. In fact, everyone was too busy trying not to stand on each other's feet! 🤣
Funny how fear can keep us stuck for years over something that ends up bringing so much joy.
So here's your reminder (and mine): stop waiting until you're "ready," "fit enough," "confident enough," or know all the steps.
Life's too short.
Worst case? You accidentally salsa in the wrong direction.
Best case? You discover something that makes your soul ridiculously happy. 💃😂❤️

Tonight it's all about recovery. ✨
After a 40-minute sauna session, I slowed things right down and gave my body some love.
💛 Lymphatic massage to support the body's natural drainage and reduce fluid retention.
🦵 Legs up the wall to encourage circulation, ease tired legs, and calm the nervous system.
🦶 Toe spreaders to help restore natural toe alignment, improve foot strength and mobility, and create a stronger foundation from the ground up.
Recovery isn't being lazy—it's where your body repairs, adapts, and gets stronger. We spend so much time focusing on training and nutrition that we often forget the magic happens during recovery.
Small habits. Big results. One step at a time. 🌿
What's your favourite way to recover after a busy day? 💚

Today’s session absolutely stunner 💪🔥
One of those workouts where you walk away feeling STRONG.
Main stand outs from today:
• Biceps + skull crushers — light 7kg for 2 sets of 45 reps of each 🥵
• Deep squats — 30kg for 20 reps x2
• Chest press — 17.5kg dumbbells for 10 reps x2
• Shoulder press — 15kg dumbbells for 10 reps x2
And honestly… there was still plenty more after that 😮💨
Sometimes you don’t realize how far you’ve come until you stop and look at what your body is capable of now compared to months ago.
Strength isn’t built in one “perfect” workout. It’s built in the sessions where you keep showing up, keep pushing, and keep backing yourself 💯
The girls absolutely smashed it today and so did I 👏🖤

Yummy 😋
Early morning food prep for the weekend lunches… chicken, get in my belly 🍗🔥
Food prep isn’t about being “perfect.”
It’s about making your future self’s life easier. 🙌
Because when life gets busy, stress hits, kids need something, work runs late, or motivation disappears…
having healthy meals ready can be the difference between:
➡️ grabbing convenience food
or
➡️ staying on track with your goals.
A few hours of prep = less overwhelm, less guesswork, and more consistency 👏
You don’t need fancy meals.
You just need protein, carbs, colour, and enough food to fuel your body properly 💪
Reminder:
Results are built in the small habits you repeat — not the random “perfect” week.
✌️❤️Suzy
Now excuse me while I aggressively stare at this chicken until lunch time 🤤🍗
