This weeks draw for our yr 5/6 competition - this is the final week of grading games. Note that Avon School has two games.

Don't forget about our year 5/6 girls skills sessions, on every Thursday in term 3 at the TET Stadium. FREE for all girls registered to play in our term 3 competition. For those not playing, a $40 is payable on registration.

First week of games for our year 5/6 comp starting tomorrow (Friday 24 July). First two weeks are grading games.

What an amazing weekend we’ve just had at this year’s Langton Cup! Our four teams all competed their hearts out and did themselves (and the association) proud. A big congratulations go to our U14 girls team and U12 boys team who each won their respective grades, which is an incredible result. Both games were played in front of a packed TSB stadium, and both went right down to the wire. Our U12 girls and U14 boys included some incredible little players, and these teams showed some real grit and heaps of potential, and it’ll be interesting to see how they go next year. We also had Elise Jansma and Kaelen Young, two up and coming Stratford referees, take part in the tournament, supported by Corrin Jansma who provided mentoring and training support. Congratulations to Kaelen for being appointed the U12 girls final.
A massive thank you to our coaches and managers, Nathan Taingahue, Heidi Sextus, Cam Stone, Jamie Bolger, Aaron Moore and Brigid Taingahue. None of this could have happened without you. A special shout out to Jamie for the time spent organising our squads in preparation for this tournament.
Also many thanks to the Langton family for starting this tournament back in the day, and to BBT for carrying it on. To the referees, you all did a great job, and we appreciate the efforts you go to, to make sure everyone has a good game. Thanks also to the other associations for making sure we had good, competitive games.
We’re incredibly proud of how everyone represented the association, and we’re already looking forward to next year!
