Rocket Racing

Rocket Racing "No cry babies" Rocket Racing was started by Scott Lane when he first started racing Modified out of Auckland's Waikaraka Park Speedway in 1990.

Since then he and his wife Lanie's two children Brad and Samantha have followed in his footsteps, both starting in the Ministock class then moving up to Modifieds. The team now participate in many forms of speedway from Dirt track go-karts to competitive Modified racing and anything in-between, while having a few beers and meeting some lifelong friends.

🏁 ROCKET RACING | 2026/27 SEASON CALENDAR 🚀

A new season, a slightly different approach!

After 10 years of travelling up and down the country, we’re taking a little step back from the travel this season and easing into things at a slightly slower pace.

With the New Zealand Championships in Christchurch, this is Brad and Sam's main focus, bringing both modifieds down for such a big event is a massive commitment for our team, so we’re being a little more strategic with our calendar this time around.

Here’s what we’ve committed to for the 2026/27 season! These are the meetings we currently have planned, but we may add a few more along the way.

One thing’s for sure, there’s still plenty of racing to look forward to, and we can’t wait to get back out there and put on a show!

You’ll have to get trackside to catch the Rocket Racing team in action this season! 🏁

Let’s see what we can do 💪🏻
