Thank you to everyone who has congratulated us on Club of the Year, our community has been buzzing!!!
Here's the lovely speech from Softball NZ when they presented us with the award! π₯Ή
We wish we could have taken all 400 of our members with us to collect it but that would have spoiled the surprise π€
"The Waiuku Softball Club is a club that in just 5 years, has grown from a group of friends wanting to play ball, to a thriving community with over 400 members.Β
Waiuku has built something special,Β a truly inclusive, whaanau focussed environment where players of all ages and abilities are welcomed, supported and celebrated.Β
From their in-house T-Ball program with over 100 tamariki, to expanding junior and senior team, Waiuku has created strong development pathways and opportunities for everyone to enjoy the game.Β
Their commitment extends beyond the diamond though, securing facilities for 6 diamonds, empowering rangatahi through leadership programs and keeping the community connected and energised through vibrant and engaging social media.Β
It's a club where wins are celebrated, but so too its growth, effort and teamwork.Β A place where there's no heirachy, just a shared passion for the game and for each other.Β
Simply put, Waiuku is building something that will last"

And again we have been so well supported by our local sponsors!! Check out these amazing prizes! Raffle tickets are just $5 each, or 4 for $20 π
π₯ Softball Gear Trolley....! (Ok, technically, I think it's a 'Beach Trolley' from Mitre 10 but we use them to chuck our softball gear in it. Or toddlers, with snacks and under umbrellas to keep them off the diamonds π Anyway, thanks Bob for this prize valued at $250 π)

Our club culture is cemented by our incredible Junior Coaches and Managers, who just understand the kaupapa and provide a safe and wonderful space for our tamariki and rangatahi to play, learn and grow.
Our WSC Committee are a bunch of talented and friendly do-ers in life that selflessly give us their time and resources all to put some smiles on faces.
