A message for the year 3/4 boys (warriors) touch team.

Our 3/4 girls (Tigers) team are low on numbers. As they are playing in the mixed grade, we can use our boys to fill in the numbers.

The girls are playing at 4:00 on field 6A (The game before the boys game). If any of the boys are keen to play two games this week, please let me know!

Touch begins this Thursday!

Here is the full draw for each team for this term. Year 3/4 boys (Warriors), please note you have 2 games in a row on the 7th of March. This is due to an uneven number of teams and the organisers want to avoid having a bye week.

Tomorrow is the last game of the season. Each game will be followed by a small prize giving ceremony. Each player also gets a sausage from the BBQ and a lollipop!

The year 5/6 draw has been updated and the game is at 5:30 on field 3b.

Managers will be collecting the sports tops at the end of the game so please come with something to wear home.

I'd like to say a huge thanks to our managers and anyone who has helped or supported our teams. We can't do it without you!!

Fingers crossed we can get the touch season underway today. A reminder that we are starting from week 2 of the draw, not replaying week 1. Please arrive at Fraser Park 10 minutes before your game. Especially if you are unfamiliar with the layout of the fields at the park.

The organiser's communication on cancellations is they will try to make a call at 1:30. I would suggest following the Total Touch Wellington page as they post updates there. This would be useful when a late call to cancel games is made.

Unfortunatley, due to the severe wind warnings for tonight and the incoming rain, touch rugby has been cancelled this week. Next week will resume with round 2 of the draw.

The students all have their playing tops so they will have these ready to go for next week!

The competition starts today! Please check the draw for your game times. It would pay to arrive 10-15 minutes before your game so everyone is ready to go. Below is the confirmation of the teams.

Students who do not have a school sports top already issued to them will be given one today.

There is quite a bit of information in this notice as we start the touch rugby competition this week!

Payments:

We still have a large amount of unpaid fees. If we do not have reasonable numbers by Thursday, we may have to forfeit this week. We need at least 6-7 players per team to make it viable. Please see the attached photos for the list of confirmed players.

School sports shirts:

We have a number of outstanding sports shirts that have not been returned after the various sporting events we have taken part in over the year. Anyone playing touch who has not returned a shirt they have issued this year will not be given a new one. If you have lost a shirt over the year please get in touch with me so I can arrange a replacement. If you are unsure if you have an outstanding shirt, please also contact me.

Lastly, a huge thanks to Tanwen, Charlotte and Zac, Janalle and Milan, and Tara who will be managing the teams this term. We can’t enter and run teams without managers so we are very appreciative of those who volunteer for this.

Listed below is a confirmation of the players who have signed up to play touch rugby this term. We still have spaces so sign up if your child is interested! If your childs name is not here and you have signed them up, please get in touch with me to sort it out.

From this term on, player fees need to be paid before the competition starts. Once the office has received your payment, the students will be placed into a team. For any queries or concerns around paying fees, please contact the office.

We understand that situations change but we ask that players commit to playing the full season. This ensures we have enough players on game day. Also, playing fees are determined by how many players sign up. When we have multiple drop-outs, the school has to cover the cost as the team fees are due when we enter a team.

Fees for this term's competition are $25 per player. This is due before Thursday the 26th of October

To make any school sports competition work, we need support from whanau in way of team managers. Currently, we only have managers for our year 1/2 team and our year 5/6 team.

For those managing year 3/4 teams, you are not required to be on the pitch with the players (total touch do recommend it though). Your main duty is to manage substitutions and that all players are getting fair game time. If you are interested and available to manage one of our two year 3/4 teams, please contact me at [email protected]

Another reminder that fees for this term's games are well overdue. We have a large number of payments that have not been made. Students with outstanding payments will not be allowed to play for sports teams next term.

Also, all sports tops must be returned tomorrow for school photos on Tuesday. As the two year 3/4 teams are playing each other on Monday, we will provide coloured bibs for the game so you will not need a dss top anyway! For the other teams, your tops will be redistributed for your games later in the week.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to the whanau who have looked after our teams this term! We are not able to enter sports teams without this kind of support so it is much appreciated.

All sports teams will also have photos taken as well as the class photos next Tuesday.

All sports tops need to be returned by Monday at the latest. This includes black tops and singlets. We have a significant number of tops that have not been returned throughout the year. It would be a great help if you could check at home in case you have missed one!

The only team left to play this week is our year 1/2 basketball team and the manager has the tops for that team. All other tops need to be returned by Monday. These will be redistributed to players who may need them again next week.

Managers of any teams this year, you are welcome to be in the photo if you would like to be. Please let me know if you would like to be and I will let you know what time the photo will be.

Hello Everyone,

This email is to let you know that unfortunately we have to postpone next week's primary and intermediate league games. This is due to a number of our Referees and floor controllers being away at the AIMs Games.
