Hawke’s Bay half! Where do I start…..! What a race! I couldn’t have asked for a better race. After kerikeri in November I really wanted to “enjoy” this one. Even though I ran a sub 90 which was the goal in Kerikeri I paced it so bad ended up stopping 3 times and was in pain like I’ve never experienced before. I just wanted a sub 90 some what pain free. I felt very good, and when I got to 20km and looked at my watch I pushed for that last km! So happy with a 1.26.37!! Never even dreamed of that! On a good day was hoping for a sub 1.29!
It’s been a great training block but have had a hamstring ni**le since last August!!! But we’ve managed the training and built the speed on the longer runs! Huge thanks to and for the training plans and coaching I couldn’t have done it without! Coaches need coaches!!! It’s always good to get a professionals help with things and to have a plan to follow! Now for the new goals!
