Obsession Fishing

Thumper of a trevally today that engulfed the curly tail, bang on 70cm and comfortably my PB.

Unfortunately once again, no luck out wide even though there was a ton of bait.

Hows this for a trevally?!

We were knocking over some nice snapper this morning on the Catch Fishing 4 inch Curly tails when this fish decided to smoke Donald Purkiss softbait!

We thought it was a small kingfish until it got to the boat, just over 70cm of it!

I've never seen one that size before, a true donkey 😲

Another good day on the water, and although we tried for a game fish, we struck out this time...

Luckily we knocked over a couple of kings and some snapper first so didn't go home empty handed.

We also saw this massive splash behind the boat as something smashed some bait....

Unfortunately we played it off as a shark, but if we had have known it was probably a big old bluefin, we would have stuck some livebaits out.... Oh well, still pretty amazing what you see out there sometimes.
