It was awesome for our WSKA committee to catch up with former All Blacks Neemia Tialata and Piri Weepu who helped coach their two Wellington College Senior boys kirikiti teams (2026 Senior Boys champions). Neemia is a current player for the Valley Bears, Kanana Fou and Fa'amasani kirikiti teams. Its time to join the movement, Piri haha. Thanks heaps usos!

We’re excited to introduce our 15th and 8th mens team. Commonly known as the Hutt Tigers on the kirikiti club scene, introducing:
𝗘𝗙𝗞𝗦 𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝘂𝘁𝘁
Ekalesia Faapotopotoga Kerisiano Samoa (EFKS) in Upper Hutt was established in 1998 and is currently under the leadership of Reverend Elder Vaegaau Liko.
In the early days, Kirikiti was a regular summer fixture, with Pulega games and sootaga with our uso Autalavou from EFKS Hutt Valley and Kanana Fou being highlights of the year.
The recent resurgence of Kirikiti in Wellington, has seen the love of the game blossom once again within our humble church. This revival led to the formation of the Hutt Tigers, initiated by members of our Autalavou in 2024.
We are grateful to be playing in the Kingdom Kirikiti Tournament and look forward to fellowshiping with our uso from across other denominations. May God be praised in all things
Salamo 133:1 “Faauta, o le mea e matuā lelei ma le matagofie lava, pe a nonofo faatasi lava o uso”.

Our next mens and womens church team need no introduction as current regulars in our past two KPL seasons. Introducing:
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗦
Kirikiti was played regularly in the early 2000s by many members of our Catholic Autalavou (Youth). In an attempt to re-live those memorable years, THE KATOS have been formed to reignite and continue our passion for kirikiti within our Catholic faith-based community.
Kingdom Kirikiti provides a platform for this and allows our youth to enjoy the same opportunities to learn from our elders and senior players. Both teams are comprised of seasoned and young players mainly from the Hutt Valley, who have come together to fellowship and celebrate our faith and cultural identities through kirikiti.
Best wishes KATOS!

We are the St David’s Petone Multicultural Parish Autalavou Group. Our team is made up of all ages — from children to parents — coming together in faith and fellowship, culture, and community.
We were proud to be part of the initial Samoan cricket tournaments in the early 1990s and again in the early 2000s, and we look forward to taking part once more in our Wellington region’s inaugural multi-denominational church kirikiti competition hosted by WSKA 🏏✨
