🖤🥎Memory Monday🥎🖤

This week we’re throwing it back to the 2017 New Zealand Under-23 Men’s Team – the very first Major Sox side to represent NZ 🇳🇿

Many of the players from this pioneering squad have since gone on to represent the Black Sox, while others have continued to make a significant impact within our game as players, coaches and leaders.

Today we celebrate the team that started the journey.

Congratulations to the Texas Longhorns at the Women’s College World Series on claiming back-to-back NCAA Championships! 🏆🏆

The U23 Black Sox were privileged to spend time with the Longhorns in April during our road to Colombia, and it was easy to see the culture, professionalism, and commitment to excellence that drives their success.

A well-deserved achievement for a special team. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and everyone involved.

A special mention to our Kiwi Connection - Coach Mike White - on another incredible milestone.

🧡 Hook ‘em! 🤘

#22 Tane Mumu 🫡 🖤🔥🖤

“Every time I put on that black jersey, I just want to do my country proud and the legacy that’s gone before me,” the New Zealand softball star said on the sidelines of the WBSC U-23 Men's Softball World Cup 2026.

Goodbye Sincelejo-thank you for being such a special part of our journey. 🖤

Finishing 4th in the world is something we’re incredibly proud of, and it means even more having shared the experience with such a welcoming community.
From the ballpark to the streets around town, the support, smiles, and connections made this tour unforgettable.

Being embraced as one of the crowd favourites was something we’ll always cherish — we loved meeting so many of you and feeling that energy every step of the way.

We’re excited for what’s ahead for this group of players and management, but we’ll always carry a piece of Sincelejo with us.

Muchas Gracias again for everything — until next time, see you later Sincelejo.
