🏐💙 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO TRIDENT HS PREMIER NETBALL! 💙🏐

Trident Netball team recently played in the Upper North Island Secondary Schools making it all the way to the Finals! 👏🔥

To the player group, tēnei te mihi ki a koutou. ❤️
What you have achieved is something to be incredibly proud of. The hard work, the early starts, the training, the sacrifices, the pressure, the highs and the challenges. You have truly represented and your whānau, your school and your wider community are celebrating alongside you.

But today, we also want to shine a very special light on the two people who have poured so much of themselves into this team.

❤️ TE AHURU & NGARORI WAITITI ❤️ He mihi nunui ki a kōrua.
Your dedication to these young women has been nothing short of incredible. The countless hours, the planning, the coaching, the growlings lol, the tough conversations, the belief, the strategy and the unwavering commitment, your mahi has mattered. You have not simply coached a netball team, you have invested in our rangatahi, helped build their confidence, challenged them to grow, and stood beside them through every step of this journey. We see you, we acknowledge you, we honour you both. 🙌🏽❤️

This achievement is theirs, but your mahi and aroha is woven through it. ❤️

This result has earned their place at the NZ Secondary Schools Championships, where they will take on the top 12 secondary school netball teams from across Aotearoa. What an incredible journey & achievement.

But before we look ahead, let’s stop and celebrate THIS moment to appreciate what you have achieved. This is a testament to the players, coaches, management and whānau who have walked this journey together. Because behind every successful team is a village, and this village has every reason to stand tall and be proud. 💙🤍

Ki a koutou katoa, ka mau te wehi! 🔥
Tū kaha. Tū māia. Tū rangatira.
Stand strong. Stand proud. Stand with mana. ❤️

p.s. Happy Father's Day to all our pāpā out their and especially to all our big sisters and solo mums and coaches and managers who also do the role as dad!

💙💛 THANK YOU, NETBALL WHĀNAU! 💛💙

As another season comes to an end, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to our amazing netball community!

To our coaches, managers, supporters, whānau and, most importantly, our players, thank you for the time, energy and aroha you have given throughout the season.

We are incredibly grateful for the way you have supported not only our teams, but also the different initiatives we have introduced throughout the year. Your support is what keeps our netball community strong.

Enjoy the off-season, spend some quality time with your whānau, and we look forward to seeing you all back out on the courts in 2027! 💙💛

Ngā mihi nui

And just like that our Whakatane U18 Rep team has just qualifed in the top 8 for the Netball New Zealand U18 Champs being held in Christchurch this week. They have won all their games except against Auckland who is about 20 times the size of our Centre. This is also a stunning result given half of our players are still in the U16 age group and only our team and Hamilton have made the top 8 from all our Centres in our Zone. Congratulations to all the players and their coaches! Results so far:
Nelson 33 - Us 34 ✅
Whangarei 20 - Us 36 ✅
Auckland 1. 31 - Us 22 ❌
Central Lakes 20 - Us 37 ✅
Tauranga 24 - Us 25 ✅

They will be playing their quarter final at 1pm today and have possibly the hardest team to play Waitakere 1 but they will give it their best go!

We also have Joanie Coles one of our Umpires who also was selected from 15 umpires to go down and umpire. She is tracking well towards a semi final, and possibly the major final, so our little Centre is doing well.

Goodluck girls, we are already proud, kia kaha.
And Ohh Lord can I get an AMEN!🙏
