Do you have any acrylic house paint sitting around at home ? Any part tins of paint that you don't really have a need for ? Please consider giving it to us ! We are doing some major renovations and decorating at our community center at 43 Bank street for an upcoming public festival and need lots of different coloured paints . The festival is scheduled for 7th September and we have ALOT to do ! Particularly brighter colours but any colours welcome . If you have any suitable paint you would like to donate please bring it in to Food for Life ( 26 Water Street ) or call Buddhi on 022 121 8908 to arrange a suitable time and place to drop it off or have it collected . We are looking to increase our worship of Lord Jagannath , Lord Baladeva and Lady Subhadra through sewing beautiful new clothes for Them.. Their wardrobe is looking a bit tired and many of Their outfits are wearing out now.. we have a team of seamstresses willing and able to make new outfits for Them, and also re-purpose the fabric from the old outfits.. If you would like to help contribute to this direct service to Lord Jagannath by helping set up a ‘Deity outfit sewing department’ ... our immediate need is for a reasonable quality sewing machine and overlocker.. This will enable us to dress Their Lordships in wonderful outfits for many years to come. Initially, we are hoping to raise $1000 to purchase these items ..
