Today’s the day. 🎉
The first ever Te Āpiti Traverse. 42km, 20km, 14km and 10km, runners and walkers, seasoned old hands and plenty of people doing their very first event.
To everyone out on course, look up and soak up those views. Thank a marshal. Have a chat with whoever you end up alongside. Finish it the way you want to remember it. 👏
And if you’re not running today, come down and cheer anyway. 📣 You don’t need to know a single person out there. Bring the kids, bring a coffee, bring a cowbell if you happen to own one. The ones coming through at the end have been out there the longest, and they’re the ones a bit of noise means the most to.
To our volunteers, our sponsors and everyone turning out to support, none of this happens without you. Thank you. 🖤
