Some places are famous for a reason.
Niagara Falls is one of those destinations you’ve seen in photos countless times, but nothing quite prepares you for standing beside it.
You hear the roar before you fully take it in. You feel the mist in the air. Then you see the sheer amount of water rushing over the edge and realize a photograph could never capture its scale.
But Niagara Falls is more than one incredible view. There are boat rides into the mist, pathways beside the rushing water, experiences on both sides of the border and plenty of reasons to give this destination more than a few hours.

Friday has entered the chat, and I hope there’s a little adventure waiting on the other side of that laptop closing.
Maybe it’s a weekend getaway. Maybe it’s a day trip. Maybe this is the weekend you finally decide where you’re using that PTO.
Whatever it is, go somewhere.
26/08/2026
You don’t need unlimited PTO to see more of the world.
You need a trip that makes the most of the time you do have.
That’s one of the things I think about when I plan travel for my clients.
✈️ Is the flight schedule worth losing half a day over?
📍 Does the itinerary make sense geographically?
🏨 Is the hotel location going to save you time?
🗓️ Are we trying to squeeze too much into one trip?
✨ Where should we slow down and actually enjoy being there?
Because a great trip isn’t measured by how many things you can fit into the itinerary. It’s about coming home feeling like your vacation time was well spent.
That’s why you travel with me.

Happy birthday to the National Park Service! 🏞️
For 110 years, the National Park Service has helped protect the places that make us stop, look around, and realize just how incredible this country really is.
From mountain views and desert landscapes to coastlines, caves, scenic drives, and places steeped in history, every park has given me a different reason to keep exploring.
So in honor of the NPS birthday, I’m sharing a few of my favorite photos from my own national park adventures.
Some were planned destinations. Some were stops along the way. All of them remind me why I’ll never get tired of adding another park stamp to the collection.

Small towns deserve a spot on your travel list, too.
Warm Springs, Georgia is proof that you don’t need a packed itinerary or a major city to have a trip worth taking. Sometimes, the best travel days are the ones spent wandering a historic downtown, learning a little local history, popping into locally owned shops, and seeing what makes a place feel distinctly its own.
Best known for its connection to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the healing warm springs that brought him here, this little Georgia town packs plenty of history into a small-town getaway.
And that’s exactly why I love stops like this.
They may not be the places everyone is flying across the country to see, but they add character to a road trip, turn a weekend away into something memorable, and remind you that adventure doesn’t always require going far.
Southern Exhilaration Tip: When you’re planning a road trip, don’t just map the destination. Look at the small towns along the way. One might end up being your favorite stop.

There’s a new-ish travel trend called “deadzoning,” and I think our out-of-office replies are going to love it.
The idea is simple: intentionally disconnect while you travel. Turn off the notifications. Stop checking the inbox from the pool. Let the Slack messages wait until Monday.
It’s part of a bigger shift toward, where travelers are choosing quieter, slower, more restorative trips instead of trying to fill every minute of vacation.
Because taking PTO and actually taking time off are two very different things.
Travel gives us something our always-connected lives don’t always allow: permission to be somewhere else completely. To notice where we are. To have dinner without checking a notification. To read by the pool without wondering what’s happening back at the office.
Your vacation doesn’t need to become your remote office with a better view.
Set the OOO. Close the laptop. Silence the notifications.
Go somewhere your email can’t find you. 🌴📵

🏁 One last race weekend in Zandvoort.
This weekend marks the final Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort, and while I’ll be watching from my couch, it felt like the perfect destination for the first Checkered Passport.
Because when I look at the F1 calendar, I don’t just see circuits. I see places worth exploring.
And Zandvoort gives you plenty of reasons to stay beyond the racing: North Sea beaches, coastal dunes, nearby Haarlem, Amsterdam a short train ride away, and plenty of opportunities to turn race weekend into a bigger European trip.
This year’s finale is even more packed: Zandvoort is hosting its first F1 Sprint, which means there’s meaningful track action all three days. 🏎️
Swipe through for:
✈️ How to get there
📍 What to do beyond the track
🍝 What to eat
🗓️ How I’d spend the weekend
🌎 Where I’d go with a few extra days
The Dutch Grand Prix may be taking its final lap, but Zandvoort is still worth putting on your Netherlands travel list.
📍 Save this guide! Whether you’re headed to the final Dutch GP or planning a future trip to the Dutch coast.

A long layover doesn’t have to mean six hours in an airport.
I had just 6 hours in Brussels, so instead of waiting around for my next flight, I turned my layover into a mini European adventure.
A little time is enough to:
🇧🇪 Wander the historic center
🏛️ See the Grand Place
🍫 Grab some Belgian chocolate
🧇 Eat a Belgian waffle
🍺 Stop for a Belgian beer
📸 Take in a little of the city before heading back to the airport
Will you see everything Brussels has to offer? Absolutely not.
But that’s not the point. The goal isn’t to see it all. It’s to see something.
So the next time you have a long layover, check the logistics. If you have enough time to get into the city and back through security comfortably, you might be able to turn a connection into a passport stamp.

Weekend mode: activated.
Here’s your reminder that productivity doesn’t define your worth.
You don’t have to earn your weekend by checking every box, answering every email, or squeezing one more thing into your calendar.
Take the scenic route. Sleep in. Read the book. Sit somewhere beautiful. Visit somewhere new. Or simply give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing.
Because a life well lived isn’t measured by how much you accomplish. It’s measured by the moments you actually get to enjoy.
And sometimes, the best thing you can do with your time is make more room for the experiences you’ll remember.

🏁 Introducing: Checkered Passport.
If you know me, you know I love a good excuse to go somewhere.
And honestly… does it get much better than traveling the world for Formula 1?
Every Grand Prix brings a new destination, a new city to explore, new food to try, and a new reason to add another stamp to the passport.
So while I’m watching the racing, I’ll also be looking at the travel side of the F1 calendar:
✈️ How to get there
📍 What to do beyond the track
🍝 Where to eat
🌎 And which destinations are worth turning into a full trip
Because the best part of F1 might just be where it takes you.
The summer break is almost over, and I think it’s time to start chasing the checkered flag. 🏁
Welcome to Checkered Passport.
