The Whitetail Deer is one of the most common deer species in the United States if not the World. Did you know that at the turn of the Century the Whitetail deer population was close to 300,000 declining at such an alarming rate through unregulated market hunting that something had to be done about it. 🦌

In 1934, Sportsmen decided to tax themselves on all hunting related activities and that tax, which is 11% on all hunting related equipment, has raised over $14 billion dollars that supports State Parks, wildlife conservation (i.e., Whitetail Deer) and habitat protection throughout the US. That equals to about $8 million provided by sportsmen and women to wildlife conservation EVERY SINGLE DAY. 💸

Today the Whitetail deer population is around 30 million. Why is that? 1) Regulations that provided cultural value to wildlife; 2) Hunters contributing to their conservation. Nothing else can claim success.

Next time you see a Whitetail deer ask yourself: How did it come to be, that there are so many whitetail deer around today? I think you know the answer. 💥
