Why do you call it adventure diving? Don’t you offer the same itineraries again and again, year after year?

Great question! The answer is YES… and NO!

YES — because some places are simply too good not to return to.
We know from years of experience — and plenty of feedback from our divers — that the sites we visit are pretty special.
And after almost 35 years exploring the Bismarck Sea, we know where the good stuff is, whatever the weather throws at us. There's a reason Febrina has a lot of repeat customers, and its not just the awesome crew!!!

BUT… NO! 😉
The Bismarck Sea is HUGE.
There are multiple regions, countless dive sites and plenty of places to explore. Some sites may be months — or even years — between visits.

And when we do return, things can be completely different.
Seasons change. Conditions change. Coral changes. And the critters? Well, they're wild — they didn't get the memo to stay where we saw them last!

And also, we love exploring too. New sites, new areas, new encounters… there’s always another corner of PNG we want to investigate.

So, its YES… and NO.

And honestly, that’s what makes it adventure diving.
And AWESOME!!!

Walls? Yep!
Pinnacles? Definitely!

Coral gardens? Plentiful — and pristine!
Bommies? Of course!

35 YEARS OF MV FEBRINA — AND WE WANT YOUR STORIES!

In December, MV FeBrina celebrates 35 YEARS of operation in Papua New Guinea.

That's right — 35 years of diving remote PNG waters, 35 years of unforgettable encounters and, most importantly, 35 years of adventurous divers making the trek to PNG to dive with us.

Resort-based diving vs liveaboard diving — what’s the difference?

With FeBrina, the diving experience is about spending less time getting to the diving and more time actually diving.

More time diving, less time travelling because moving between dive areas mostly occurs overnight, making remote sites accessible and avoiding long daily boat transfers.

Remote diving in optimal conditions because the skippers and guides can observe conditions in real time and plan the diving sites accordingly, from a huge variety of known and exploratory sites.

More dives, if you want them, because the dive sites are right outside your door so you can maximise your time underwater.

Your equipment stays set up on the dive deck for the whole trip. Walk from your cabin to the dive deck for briefings, gear up then step onto the dive platform—and you’re ready to go.

Life onboard with a small group of like-minded divers and experienced guides creates a relaxed, close-knit community. Share photos, compare marine life sightings, swap stories - many life-long friends have been found on liveaboard trips.
