Inclusion in action – this is what looked like at Milfordheaven Primary School. This week at Milfordheaven Primary School – which brings together students from Papua Compound, Salamanda, Market, and surrounding communities – our second rugby session focused on Discipline.

We saw boys and girls running, passing, and learning together. Not just rugby skills – but respect, discipline , self-control, and showing up for each other.

A huge thank you to the Australian Government through the Team Up program, the Australian High Commission Papua New Guinea , and the Australian Consulate-General, Lae for making this possible. Your support is creating real inclusion impact on the ground.

Also thank you to Oceania Rugby and SCRUM PNG for driving this forward with us.

One session at a time. One community at a time. That’s how change happens.

Day 2 at the Team Up Reflection & Celebration Workshop – Nadi, Fiji πŸ‰πŸŒ

Big things happening today as our Inclusion Impact Rugby family came together to share, reflect, and celebrate.

βœ… Nauru & PNG Inclusion Impact Rugby Program completed their interviews – sharing powerful stories of change from the ground up.
βœ… Get Into Rugby PLUS – Fiji & Samoa – also took their turn in front of the camera.
βœ… And we were joined all day by our lead partners from Oceania Rugby – still right here with us, driving the work forward.

Today’s sessions reminded us that inclusion isn't a one-off event – it's built session by session, community by community – from Across the Pacific region, the learning keeps growing. Also what best practices are there from each programs and the challenges that all programs face when delivering these extraordinary Sports for development Programs.

Towards the end of today we have all witnessed the launching of Safeguarding at Major Sporting Events Toolkit. kudos Team up for this !!!

Huge thanks to the Australian Government through the Team Up programs, and to all our lead and supporting partners

Team Up Reflection & Celebration Workshop kicks off in Nadi.

Today marked the first official day of the Team Up Reflection and Celebration Workshop here at the Crowne Plaza in Nadi, Fiji. It’s been an incredible day of learning, connection, and looking back at the years of sport for development impact across the Pacific.

We’ve got 98 members of the Team Up family in the room – from strategic partners to country coordinators and program leads. It’s a powerful sight to see so much expertise and passion gathered in one place.

🎽 Some of the crew in the house today:

PNG Inclusion Impact Rugby Program Coordinators from Papua New Guinea and Nauru

Get Into Rugby PLUS Coordinators from Samoa and Fiji

Oceania Rugby program leads for both of these flagship sport for development programs

The energy today has been all about reflection, sharing change stories, and being honest about lessons learned. We also kicked off our partnership interviews and enjoyed a warm welcome reception with traditional kava last night.

πŸ™ A huge thank you to the Australian Government through the Team Up programs for making this regional collaboration possible. Your support continues to strengthen partnerships, champion inclusion, and build safer, more accessible sports across the Pacific

πŸ‘€ Looking ahead to Day 2 – which is all about Celebration & Sharing. Can’t wait to hear more best practice examples from across the region.
