WOMENS FINAL| Tusbab Blue Kumuls FC Set for Grand Final Showdown Against Rainy Lae
The stage is set for a thrilling Grand Final encounter as Tusbab Blue Kumuls FC of Madang Soccer Association prepare to take on hosts Rainy Lae FC in the 2024 National Club Championship.
It has been a challenging but inspiring journey for the Tusbab Blue Kumuls, especially coming up against a strong Rainy Lae side. In the pool matches, Rainy Lae claimed a 4–2 victory over the Madang-based team, and the Tusbab Blue Kumuls are determined to turn that result around when it matters most.
However, the Grand Final day did not begin as smoothly as expected. The match, which was scheduled to kick off at 12:00pm as per the official draw, was delayed due to logistical and coordination issues from the PNGFA coordinating team. It is now 1pm and the match has still not started
Despite the disruptions and earlier setback against Rainy Lae, the Tusbab Blue Kumuls showed great discipline and focus. The team remains hopeful and confident of delivering a stronger performance in the Grand Final, driven by lessons learned from the pool games and the unwavering support of their fans and the Madang Soccer Association.
Win or lose, the Tusbab Blue Kumuls have once again demonstrated resilience, pride, and determination, proudly representing Madang on the national stage. The Grand Final is not just another match—it is a testament to their fighting spirit and belief that they can rise above the odds and challenge for national glory.

SEMIFINAL| It was a day of mixed emotions but strong character for the Tusbab Blue Kumuls men and women as both teams took to the field with pride and determination.
Our men’s team put up a brave and disciplined fight against a tough Pascol side. From the opening whistle, the boys showed heart, commitment and unity, battling for every ball and never backing down. Despite their best efforts, Pascol managed to edge the contest, handing our men a hard-fought loss. While the result didn’t go our way, the spirit and resilience shown by the team speaks volumes of the character within this group. The men now regroup and will play in the 3rd and 4th playoff, determined to finish the tournament strongly.
On a brighter note, our women’s team delivered a commanding performance, defeating PTC Lae 3–0 in style. The ladies controlled the game with confidence, sharp passing and solid teamwork, taking their chances well and keeping a clean sheet at the back. It was a complete team effort that showcased their growth, belief and hunger for success.
With that impressive win, the Tusbab Blue Kumuls women march proudly into the Grand Final, set to play tomorrow. This is a massive achievement and a moment of pride for the club, our supporters and everyone back home who has stood by the team.
Win or lose, the Tusbab Blue Kumuls continue to show that we are more than just results — we are about heart, unity and representing our people with pride.
All the best to our women in the Grand Final tomorrow, and strength to our men as they prepare for the playoff.
