TEAM PACQUIAO WELCOMES BOXING CONTRACT SIGNING

Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP) chief executive officer (CEO) is glad to announce and welcome the signing of contract in Philippines for the historical boxing exhibition between Antony Mundine and Manny Pacquiao in PNG.

MPP CEO Sean Gibbons expressed his excitement on behalf of MPP team in a video captioned “Don’t call it a comeback; I’ve been here for years. Let’s go” that was posted on Anthony Mundine’s official page today.

Mr Gibbons expressed that Manny Pacquiao is glad to host everyone for the contract signing in Philippines.

“Hello everyone, it’s Sean Gibbons, CEO of MPP from my home in Las Vegas, we are very excited on the upcoming exhibition bout with Anthony Mundine in PNG. I want to thank Maryanne Millie, Peter Maniatis and the Papua New Guinea government for putting everything together. We look forward to hosting everybody very soon in the Philippines to meet with the senator and bring Anthony Mundine for a formal press conference and signing for this event. I want to thank you all again from Manny Pacquiao Promotions,” Gibbons said.

This is an exciting build up into the preparations to the hosting of the historical bout between the two world champions to promote boxing code in PNG.

The exhibition bout is tentatively set to take place in Port Moresby, PNG on June 2023 and a team from the Oceania Fight Promotions headed by its Managing Director and promoter Maryanne Millie will be travelling down to Australia later next month for the contract signing.

Congratulations to Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Callum Peters, who has been named as the November Emerging Athlete of the Month. The talented young boxer had a breakout year at the Games, and his sights set firmly on 2023 and beyond.

We had a jam packed calendar of events in 2022 from our Prime Ministers Golf, SP Sports Awards, Olympic Values Education Program, Trukai Fun Run, OSEP Training Courses, PNG Sports Hall of Fame - just to name a few.....and we are gearing up for the same in 2023.
