On behalf of our academy, thank you to the U.S. Embassy - Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea for selecting our very own Jonah Kautu for the IVLP Sports Management and Youth Leadership program.

This opportunity means a lot for us. Jonah will gain direct exposure to U.S. best practices in youth sports development, athlete welfare, and program management. We look forward to bringing those learnings back to strengthen our Academy and create more opportunities for youth in PNG

Congratulations to Urith Toa, Steven Abraham, and Jonah Kautu!

We’re proud to see you selected for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) – Sports Management and Youth Leadership in the United States.

This exciting program brings together participants to explore American excellence in sports management and youth development. Participants will learn how U.S. schools and communities integrate flag football and other sports into education, promote athlete health and safety, and develop strong, sustainable sports programs that create academic, social, and economic opportunities for youth.

Throughout the program, participants will visit Olympic training centers, educational institutions, youth sports organizations, professional leagues, and community programs to discuss best practices in coaching, curriculum development, injury prevention, drug‑free leadership, and league management. They will also build valuable networks with U.S. counterparts as preparations continue for the LA2028 Olympics and Flag Football’s historic debut.

We wish Urith, Steven, and Jonah every success as they represent Papua New Guinea on this exciting journey!

Week 2 - What a turnout! 🙌🏽 🤩We’re loving seeing more new faces joining us and watching our Pikinini Rugby community continue to grow! 💙🖤🩶🤍

From ball work and perfecting our catch & pass, to getting that ruck technique just right — these future stars are learning, improving and, most importantly, having fun! 💪🏽🏉

We’re also encouraging our young athletes to remember that respect on the field starts with listening — listening to our coaches, teammates and officials, following instructions, and supporting one another.

The energy, effort, and passion our young athletes bring to the field is what it’s all about.❤️🔥🏉
