The 2026 Corporate Charity Darts Challenge regular season concludes this week from Wednesday, August 12 to Friday, August 14, setting the stage for a 40-team interdivisional post-season showdown for the Cup, Plate, Bowl, and Kundu.

Expanding to 40 teams this year, the competition has intensified across both divisions. The top 10 teams in each pool secure their spots in the upper tier (CUP and PLATE), with the top two teams advancing directly to the Cup Quarter-Finals, while the bottom 10 battle for the BOWL and KUNDU.

THE Port Moresby Metro Darts Association (PMMDA) yesterday received a K10,000 sponsorship from Francis Tanga to support youth development in the sport and provide cash prizes for the most valuable male and female players (MVP) at season’s end.

The newly-introduced Francis N. Tanga MVP Award will see K8,000 allocated as prize money – K4,000 each for the top male and female players.

PMMDA president Baxter Torie said the association was fortunate and grateful for Tanga’s initiative, noting that the support comes at a crucial time for their newly-established competition.
