These two athletes are products of the East Sepik Inter-School Athletic Carnival. Isilah Apkup, a former student of Ambunti High School, was transferred to Brandi Secondary in 2015 after being identified in 2014 at Moem Barracks during the 2014 Inter-School Athletic Carnival. Similarly, Emmanuel Anis, a former student of Bishop Leo Secondary, was identified at Maprik Secondary in 2019 during the Inter-School Athletic Carnival.

Their journeys from the East Sepik Inter-School Athletic Carnival to studying and training in the U.S. under the Athletic PNG Scholarship Program truly highlight the positive impact sports can have on the youth of Greater Sepik. It’s wonderful to see how talent identification and support through school athletics can open doors to international opportunities and personal development. Stories like theirs encourage continued investment in school sports programs and motivate young athletes to pursue their dreams.

Sports is one of the major areas in which to calm some of the on going problems by youth in our villagers. So don't know why Yangoru Saussia is out of that very important human social integral development.
