Out of 18 of the country's best elementary football teams competing in the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, our young footballers proudly secured a top 3 in their bracket and a Top 10 finish in overall—a testament to their hard work, discipline, determination, and passion for the beautiful game.

This milestone reflects the unwavering commitment of our players, coaches, parents, supporters, sponsors and the entire football community who continue to believe in grassroots development and excellence in sports.

You have represented Camalig, Albay, and the Bicol Region with pride and honor. This achievement is not just a result—it's a foundation for even greater success in the years ahead.

As we’ve always said, representing the entire Bicol Region, carrying the pride of Albay, and bringing Camalig Football to the national stage is already a victory in itself. Despite the almost three-day journey to Agusan del Sur, you fought with heart, courage, and determination. You never showed signs of giving up and continued to give your best in every match. We hope this experience will mold you into even better football players — not only inside the pitch, but also outside of it.

𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻

Hanggang saan nga ba ang kayang isakripisyo ng isang atleta para sa pangarap?

Noong bata pa ako, isa rin ako sa mga batang nangangarap maging atleta.
Humahanga ako sa mga atletang buong tapang na lumalaban para sa kanilang paaralan, bayan, at pamilya. Sa murang isip ko noon, akala ko’y puro medalya, palakpakan, at tagumpay lamang ang buhay nila. Akala ko noon, sapat na ang husay upang manalo.

Ngunit habang nakakasalamuha ko ngayon ang mga batang atletang patungo sa Agusan del Sur, doon ko unti-unting nakita ang tunay na mukha ng kabataan ngayon, hindi lamang mga batang nangangarap, kundi mga kabataang marunong lumaban kahit natatakot.

Sa bawat biyahe, may mga takot na tahimik nilang pasan.
May mga unang beses pa lamang sasakay ng barko, tahimik na nakatanaw sa dagat habang pilit nilulunok ang kaba at pangungulila.
May mga batang hindi makatulog dahil unang beses nilang malalayo sa kanilang pamilya.
May mga unang beses sasakay ng eroplano, mahigpit ang hawak sa kanilang bag habang pilit pinapatatag ang sarili sa pagitan ng takot at pananabik.
May mga bumabagtas ng mahabang oras sa bus kahit nahihilo, napapagod, at masakit na ang katawan, makatawid lamang sa lugar kung saan susubukin ang kanilang kakayahan.

Sa murang edad, pasan nila ang bigat ng pangarap.
Hindi lamang para sa kanilang sarili, kundi para sa kanilang pamilya na nagsasakripisyo, sa kanilang paaralan na nagtitiwala, at sa kanilang lalawigang umaasang maiuuwi nila ang karangalan.

Habang pinagmamasdan ko sila, doon ko lalong naunawaan na ang tunay na laban ng isang atleta ay hindi nagsisimula sa loob ng court, oval, o entablado.
Nagsisimula ito sa bawat takot na pinipili nilang lampasan.

Takot mabigo.
Takot hindi maging sapat.
Takot mapahiya.
Takot mawalan ng lakas sa gitna ng laban.
Ngunit sa kabila ng lahat ng ito, pinipili pa rin nilang tumuloy.

Ito ang kabataan ngayon.
Mga kabataang may pangamba ngunit may mas malaking pangarap.
Mga kabataang napapagod ngunit patuloy na bumabangon.
Mga kabataang nanginginig sa takot ngunit hindi hinahayaang talunin sila nito.

May mga batang tahimik lamang na nguminingiti kahit pagod na.
May mga batang pilit itinatago ang lungkot upang hindi mabawasan ang tapang ng kanilang mga kasama.
Mayroong mga batang sa bawat hakbang ay bitbit ang pag-asang balang araw, mababago nila ang buhay ng kanilang pamilya.

Marahil iyon ang pinakamagandang katangian ng kabataan ngayon, hindi sila perpekto, hindi sila palaging matapang, ngunit marunong silang mangarap kahit natatakot.

Habang pinagmamasdan ko ang mga batang atletang ito, mas lalo akong naniniwala na ang kabataan ngayon ay hindi mahina.
Sila ay mga kabataang marunong matakot ngunit marunong ding magpatuloy.
Mga kabataang sugatan man sa pagod ay puno pa rin ng pag-asa.
Mga kabataang handang isakripisyo ang sariling takot alang-alang sa pangarap.

Ito ang mga kabataan ngayon. Ang mga atletang minsang natakot ngunit piniling lumaban at huhubog sa mas matatag, mas matapang, at mas mapanlabang kinabukasan ng bayan.
