The 1st Association of Student-Chess Players Chess Cup is now ready for action!

1st Association of Student-Chess Players Chess Cup
November 20, 2023 - Onwards
OFFICIAL VENUE: Auditorium, RDE Building
FORMAT: 4 Round Knock out event (Best of 2 per round)
Time control: 30 minutes + 30 Seconds increment/ Tiebreaks 10+5, 5+3

Format

The tournament is a 4-round knockout event. The losers of the two semi-finals will play a match for third place.

Each round consists of classical time limits as follows:

Two classical time limit games: 30 minutes, plus a 30-second increment per move, per player. If the match is tied after the classical games, players will play two rapid chess games, with 10 minutes plus a 5-second increment per move, per player. If the match is tied, players will play two blitz chess games, with 5 minutes plus a 3-second increment per move, per player. A drawing of lots determined which player will have white. If the game is drawn, the players will switch colors and play again, and this process is repeated until a decisive result is obtained.
