BagTown 3x3 League Official Announcement
The PR Team has been tremendously working to make our launch event, an exhibition game, possible. But due to scheduling conflicts and budget constraints, we were not able to secure a venue fitting for such an event and date and time that isn't inconvenient for participants and audiences.
In lieu of a complete cancellation, we decided to hold an NBA 2K tournament, 1 on 1 with each player controlling 3 NBA players on Blacktop. 8 players will be competing for the grand prize (to be announced). It will be a single-elimination tournament, meaning that the first round, semi-finals, and finals will only have one game for each pair of contestants.
We sincerely apologize for not being able to deliver a real-life exhibition match that is supposed to kick-off the BagTown league. We assure our stakeholders that we have explored every possible option, but circumstances beyond our control have made it impossible at this time.
However, basketball is not just about the hardwood. It’s about competition, skill, and the love of the game. That passion transcends physical space, and for that reason, we are excited to see you guys in our NBA 2K tournament.
Though it takes place on a digital court, the fundamentals remain the same: fast-paced 3Ă—3 action, strategic play, and the competitive fire that defines this sport. This tournament allows us to celebrate basketball in a new way, bringing players and fans together in the same spirit of the game we all love.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we adapt and continue to push forward. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to share what’s next for BagTown.
