His unforgettable battles against top contenders, especially his title-winning performance against Shinya Aoki in 2016, showed the world the heart and skill of Filipino fighters.

But more than the wins and titles, it was his grit, discipline, and never-back-down attitude that made me a fan. Watching him represent the Philippines on the global stage made me appreciate MMA on a deeper level.

Lito Adiwang scored a lightning-fast finish, stopping Eko Roni Saputra just 34 seconds into their bantamweight clash at ONE Fight Night 43 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

“The Thunder Kid” rocked Saputra with a clean right before swarming him with strikes, forcing referee Olivier Coste to step in.

The victory pushed Adiwang’s record to 18-6 with his 10th knockout, while Saputra dropped to 7-6 and suffered his fifth straight defeat.
