The UC Jaguars Arnis Team once again proved their strength, discipline, and competitive spirit after a commendable performance at the Palarong Panlungsod 2025, held on December 20, 2025, at Irisan National High School.

Facing skilled opponents from various schools across the city, the Jaguars showcased not only technical excellence but also the core values of arnis—respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Their efforts were rewarded with an impressive medal haul, highlighting the team’s dedication and rigorous preparation.

Leading the charge was Zharen Jael Yumi V. Nota, who delivered a dominant performance in the Featherweight Division, earning the Gold Medal and claiming the championship title. Her composure, precision, and tactical mastery set the tone for the team’s successful campaign.

Adding to the medal count, John Stephene S. Juliano displayed remarkable grit in the Pinweight Division, securing the Silver Medal after a hard-fought series of matches. Meanwhile, Jameia Ramchelle B. Gabayne showed resilience and determination in the Half Lightweight Division, capturing the Bronze Medal.

The Jaguars’ podium finishes continued with Nicole C. Abidal, who clinched a Bronze Medal in the Pinweight Division, further cementing the team’s presence among the city’s elite arnis practitioners.

Beyond the medalists, several Jaguars demonstrated commendable performances and fighting spirit. Joshen S. Seclegen and Glen Anthony Asuncion competed valiantly in the Bantamweight Division, while Aizelle A. Collado, Mark Jaden R. Gamboa, and Peter Joash C. Moulic represented the team with pride in the Extra Lightweight Division. Their participation and determination reflect the depth, unity, and future potential of the UC Jaguars Arnis Team.

The University of the Cordilleras (UC) Jaguars once again proved their dominance in the field of Filipino martial arts after emerging as the Overall Champion in the 19th Lakan Arnis Hero’s Cup Tournament.Held on August 10, 2025, the prestigious competition gathered some of the country’s top collegiate teams, showcasing the skill, discipline, and heritage of Arnis.

The UC Jaguars displayed remarkable teamwork, resilience, and mastery of the sport—securing multiple medals across various events and earning the highest overall points.

This victory highlights not only the athletic excellence of the UC Jaguars but also their continued dedication to promoting and preserving Arnis, the Philippines’ national martial art. With this achievement, the Jaguars solidify their reputation as one of the strongest Arnis teams in the nation.
