MANILA, Philippines โ€” Lanao del Norte reached another milestone in sports infrastructure after the 400-meter track oval at the Mindanao Civic Center (MCC) in Tubod earned a Class 2 certification from World Athletics (WA), making the complex the first in Mindanao to feature two internationally certified sports facilities.

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), intensified by Typhoon Inday, is forecast to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall across the Zamboanga Peninsula, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Sultan Kudarat, and General Santos City tomorrow.

The expected rainfall may trigger flooding in low-lying and flood-prone communities, as well as landslides in mountainous and landslide-susceptible areas. Residents are encouraged to stay alert, keep updated with the latest weather advisories, and follow all guidance and safety instructions issued by local authorities.
