Get ready, Borongan City! The most exciting celebration of sports, teamwork, camaraderie, friendship, and youth participation is almost here! 💪🏻🏀🏐🥒

We are inviting all qualified athletes and sports enthusiasts to take part in the City Sports Fest 2026 and showcase your skills, sportsmanship, and passion for the game.

SCREENING SCHEDULE: AUGUST 15 – 16, 2026 at the City Hall Lobby (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

🏀 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT – UNDER-17 (U17) DIVISION

Eligibility:
1. Open to qualified players who are Bona fide Resident of Borongan City.
2. Players must be Born in 2009.

Requirements:
1. Updated Voter’s Certificate (C.Y. 2026) If NONE, Updated Voter’s Certificate of Parent/Guardian may be submitted as an alternative supporting document.
2. Photocopy of National ID/Temporary ID / School ID (kindly bring the original copy for verification purposes only).
3. NSO / Live Birth.
4. Player’s Membership Form.

🏀 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT – OPEN DIVISION

Eligibility:
1. Open to qualified players who are Bona fide Resident of Borongan City.

Requirements:
1. Voter’s Certification – Issued Year must be C.Y. 2026
2. Health Waiver.
3. Photocopy of any Government Issued ID (kindly bring the original copy for verification purposes only).
4. Players Profile.

Note:
1. Players in the Open Division are no longer required to attend the screening. Instead, a representative from the team accompanied by their SK Chairperson shall submit the complete documents of the players to the screening committee for registration and documentation purposes.
2. All Documents must be placed and organized in 1 Folder.

🏐 VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

Open Category – Men’s and Women’s Division.

Eligibility:
1. Open to qualified players who are Bona fide Resident of Borongan City.

Requirements:
1. Voter’s Certification – Issued Year must be C.Y. 2026
2. Health Waiver.
3. Photocopy of any Government Issued ID (kindly bring the original copy for verification purposes only).
4. Players Profile.

Note:

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: Calingatngan Youth Organization gets shortlisted for the Top 10 2026 United Nations SDG Awardees (TOUSA) at the Visayas level for their projects under the Bloomberg Youth Climate Action Fund (BP-YCAF).

The Calingatngan youth org was a recipient of both the first and second rounds of the BP-YCAF in Borongan City, which gained fruition from an initial proposal pitched by Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda to Bloomberg Philanthropies founder and UN Executive Michael Bloomberg in 2024.
