The Philippine National Karate team displayed masterful performance at the 13th Southeast Asian Karate Championships in Ninh Binh, Vietnam - takling home hard-earned 3 silver and 24 bronze medals.

Filipino karateka silver medalists were Bernardo Fresco III (Junior Kumite Male -55kg), Alwayn Batican (Senior Kumite Male -75kg) and veteran Rebecca Cyril Torres (Senior Kata Female). Meanwhile, two dozen of bronze medals were the result of the effort of the rest of team from the categories of cadet, junior, U21, and senior.
