Grateful to have been one of the participants in the CEPCA 2026 Chess Tournament. Every game was a challenge, every move was a lesson, and every opponent helped me grow as a chess player.

This tournament was not only about winning but also about learning, gaining experience, and enjoying the game I love. Thank you to the organizers, coaches, fellow players, and everyone who supported us throughout the event.

Late post, but a story worth sharing ♟️✨

Day 1 of CVIRAA 2026 will always be special to me. As a Grade 7 student from St. Scholastica Academy Tabunok, this was my first time competing in the secondary division—and it wasn’t easy.

I faced opponents who were older and more experienced, and I honestly felt nervous at first. But instead of letting fear take over, I reminded myself of all the hard work, practice, and sacrifices I made just to reach this moment.

Every move I made on the chessboard was a reflection of my determination. I may be younger, but I chose to stand my ground, think smart, and give my very best in every game. It wasn’t just about winning—it was about courage, growth, and proving to myself that I belong here.

No matter the result, I’m proud because I fought a good fight. This is only the beginning of my journey. ♟️💪
