We are truly honored and grateful to have been visited by one of our ownβMr. Aaron Rey CaΓ±ete, a proud USJ-R alumnus who has reached remarkable milestones in his chosen career path.
The visit was made even more meaningful as he was joined by USJ-R Jaguar Basketball Coaches Julius Cadavis and Lyle Antipuesto, together with former varsity players and fellow Josenian alumni who now serve the University as educators and mentors. Among them were Mr. Wyndell Casquejo, former Basketball Varsity player and now Chairman of the Physical Education Department, and Mr. Jan Obando, former Volleyball Varsity player, currently a College Physical Education Professor and Elementary Volleyball Coach at USJ-R.
Mr. CaΓ±ete generously shared valuable insights from his extensive experience as a collegiate referee in the UAAP and NCAA, as well as his officiating stints in the PBA, FIBA games, and even the NBA. His journey stands as a powerful testament to how dedication, discipline, and integrity can open doors on the global stage.
Moments like these remind us that excellence, humility, and service continue long after one leaves the campus. The Sports Formation Office is deeply thankful for the time, wisdom, and inspiration he shared with our coaches, athletes, and academic community.
It is always a warm and fulfilling feeling to welcome a Josenian family member back home. ππ
