Meet Muhammad Ameen “Deedat” Midtimbang Abbas, a dedicated public servant and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC-BARMM). In this role, he contributes to the development and improvement of the Bangsamoro’s maritime, land, and air transportation systems, as well as initiatives aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure and connectivity across the region.

He also serves as a Commissioner of the Bangsamoro Telecommunications Commission (BTC), contributing to regulatory efforts that promote better telecommunications, internet connectivity, and broadcasting services in the Bangsamoro. Beyond his government responsibilities, Deedat is actively engaged in community initiatives and youth development, including supporting local sports programs and grassroots activities that bring communities together.

As the 24th Nominee of UBJP, Muhammad Ameen “Deedat” Midtimbang Abbas brings his experience in transportation, communications, public service, and community engagement to the continuing pursuit of a more connected, progressive, and inclusive Bangsamoro.
